3.
are the battery clips/battery poles making a secure/tight enough contact? i think I had a similar prob (not same bass though) one time because of it, and went away once they were adjusted with some pliers. also worth sticking some foam around the battery to keep it snug in place.
The contacts are pretty hard to get to as it's one of those hinged type compartments (I'll try and post a picture tomorrow), certainly no room for pliers but I'll see what I can do.
 4. Got a problem with the battery compartment on both my Gary Willis basses - if I use them in active mode I get audible 'thumps' due to the battery moving when any pressure is applied to the battery compartment door (i.e. by my body). Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions for a solution?
 5.
I can't WAIT until the X3 rack is released (new year apparently)
Is it confirmed there'll be a rack version then? I made enquiries about this myself recently but didn't get a firm answer. Should be great for using with the Stick.
I don't see how they can improve the actual sounds at all!
As far as I am aware, they are the same as the XT but with more flexible routing?
 6.
Hi Sticky, how deep is the case? Is it full depth or roto depth?
Hi Crazy, it's the full depth one - from front rail to rear rail it's 40cm, from front rail to rear lid it's 46cm and from lid to lid it's 53cm.
 7. For sale: SKB 6u rack case. In great condition, had light home use only. £45 collected from West London.
 8.
If the Lost Planet/Anchorhead gig is still on for November, you can have a look/go.
Cool, thanks. Is that the one on the 9th? I have no idea what Mark is booking at the moment...
 9. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll have a look at those other pickups.
 10.
If thet are adjustable poles then an Allen key is all you need. You can of course alter the whole pup hieght but thats not what your asking.
No, they are not threaded and nor do they have an Allen key socket unfortunately.
Why do you need to adjust the pole-piece height?
I like the contour of the strings to match that of the fingerboard, and my Willis basses have got me accustomed to a pickup that does the same. I need to alter the pole pieces firstly for consistent string to string volume as you'd rightly guessed, and secondly because I sometimes catch my fingertip on the edge of the furthest G-string pole piece...
 11. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the height of the pole pieces on 'USA Vintage J-Bass' pickups (as found on a CIJ '62 reissue Fender Jazz bass)?
 12.
just for reference, a guy sold a mint condition out of the box bass pod pro on here a few weeks back for £85
Perhaps he should have checked the going rate on ebay then as the bass ones have fetched between £115-£150 lately. Also, this is the guitar one.
 13. Price drop, now asking £150.
 14. At the very top end of your budget you might be lucky and score a used Crest CA9. Excellent power amp for bass, though it weighs a ton...
 15. Now only the volume pedal left.
 16. Now inviting offers.
 17.
Im looking for a high gain distortion, is this the one im looking for?
Hi Parker, This pedal is definitely high gain distortion! To quote ProCo's website: "The Turbo RAT is the most intense pedal in the RAT family. For those brave enough to harness its power, it provides a palette of distortion unequaled by any other pedal... Boasting more than twice the maximum output of the original RAT, the Turbo RAT is hard-clipping while the mid-range frequencies are slightly scooped. With a less compressed signal, it also has a brighter tone, so you'll have no trouble being heard through the mix." If you're familiar with Tool, their bass player Justin Chancellor uses one of these pedals in his "dirty rig" - check out his set-up here.
If you do decide to post, I may have the rockstand.
Hi Matt, There's already a queue for the stand - I'll let you know if it becomes available again though. The only reason I was reluctant to post was that I didn't think it would be very cost effective.
 18. PM replied to. No trades I'm afraid (other than a Radial DI box).
 19. Continuing my clearout of items currently gathering dust I offer up the following: ProCo Turbo Rat Distortion pedal. Excellent condition, complete with original box. Sold Boss BF-2B Bass Flanger Fair condition. Sold Boss ODB-3 Bass Overdrive Good condition. Sold Boss FV-50H Volume Pedal High impedence stereo version. Excellent condition, complete with original box. £40 incl. postage Warwick RockStand For 3 basses/guitars. As with a few other people on this board I replaced the original foam (which was too soft and did not provide enough padding) with thicker pipe insulation. Collection from west London only on this as I don't think it would be worth posting. Sold
 20. Thanks for the bumps fellas (and to the realting for the kind words!), this amp is now sold
