1.
Blimey, I have an audition!
No moss on you mate, is there? Just followed the link and his name is familiar - does he/did he have a fusion trio?
2. Nope, I wasn't looking to add drivers. Paul only seemed to offer the service with UM, I'll have to check 1964's website out again as I can't remember if I saw it on there on not.
3.
Without trying to be too blunt, if you are really into your IEMs, save yourself the journey (and money) and pitch in at the level you can afford. A 1964 Quad for example, will blow away your TF10s in terms of sound quality and comfort. You cannot beat a custom fit either. It'll bring the bass levels up and it will feel so comfortable. No worries of them falling out or anything. Do it. I promise you won't look back.
Not blunt at all, it was the Quads I was considering actually. The long turnaround time Paul mentioned for reshelling the TFs with Unique Melody put me off and subsequent internet searching hasn't thrown up many appealing alternatives. At the moment I can't justify the outlay on a new pair of IEMs though so it's a case with making do with the TFs as they are (which I have to say are still far superior to what I have toured internationally with before!).
4. Yep, that connector looks right. I had a long chat with Paul at the Bass Guitar Show about reshelling the TFs vs. buying a pair of 1964s actually, hence budget being an issue on the cable as I'm on the fence a bit as to what to do next.
5. Somewhere in between perhaps? The sound of the stock one isn't the issue, it's the comfort - I need a much more flexible cable.
6.
http://www.toxic-cab...gory&path=59_71
Thanks for the link Russ. Anything, um, a bit cheaper perhaps?
7. Can anyone recommend a good replacement cable for Ultimate Ears TF10 in ear monitors?
8.
I've got one and they really aren't great, I just don't use it, the wheels try to fold in on themselves as you push/drag it, it's hopeless.
Yep, the same thing happened to mine. I returned it to the shop within a few days.
9. I'll echo what others have said above in that it is best to approach it as a new instrument rather than a variation of a bass or a guitar - once I did this I made much better progress, and indeed a big part of its appeal to me is that it allows me to play very different things to what I would naturally play on the bass. I bought mine from a college friend many years ago so was lucky to try it out beforehand, however as a big Sean Malone fan (and of course King Crimson too) I was determined to persevere with it even if I didn't take to it immediately. To the OP, if you can make it out to SE London you are welcome to come and try mine if you like. In the meantime, here is a clip of it in action: http://youtu.be/dmIim7rJP3w
10. I have a free weekend for once so will be around both days.
11. More positive feedback for Andy from me too - bought a pedal from him recently, very easy and straightforward transaction.
12. Sadly I am missing the London gig tonight as it sold out, I did get to see them at the Peel last time around though and they were superb.
13. More positive feedback for Gareth - I bought a gig bag from him last week and it's exactly as he described it. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.
14. Anybody seeing Billy Cobham at Ronnie Scotts next week? I'm a big fan of Ric Fierabracci but not sure if I'm going yet.
15. You might find this of use: http://youtu.be/JrtoaB-hy5g
16. It's not a scale - the D#, F# and Ab are simply chromatic approach notes for the 3rd and 5th of Cmaj7: D# leads in to E from a semi-tone below, F# leads in to G from a semi-tone below and Ab leads in to G from a semi-tone above.
17.
Saw him doing this at Ronnie Scott's last year and it was amazing. His arrangement of 'A Portrait of Tracy' is stunning. Not too shabby on the bass either...
I missed that gig, not going to miss this one.

19.
it's like early YES.
Cool, that bodes well for Saturday then :-)
20. A quick heads-up that Scott Henderson, Jeff Berlin and Dennis Chambers - the "HBC Super Trio" - will be playing at Shaka Zulu in Camden, London, on 09/10/13: http://shakazulu.fatsoma.com/events/95694/
21.
But seriously... sans Belew, is there a vocalist in the line-up?
Yes, Jakko.
22. I am excited about this; with this line up - and particularly with no Adrian - I really have no idea what to expect!
23.
Mel C?!
Mel Collins!
24. Bump for price drop.
