Thanks Lozz, I got the job!

  2. That's great to hear! Same experience here too. I was messing around with the centre detented pots on my Custom P5 & Did something to one of them & they sent a whole new knob, spring, instructions plus two allen keys to tighten them up too. Cant fault them!
  3. UPS delivered a bass I'd sold & it's turned up damaged. Today was going so well!

Hope you can get it resolved 🤞🏻
I must admit the idea of shipping has me breaking out in a sweat.

Me, too. Some guy wants me to ship my Ibby Ashula to Thailand. Told him absolutely no way! I'd be nervous sending to Tadcaster,  never mind Thailand!

That is why I always insist on a case and double walled cardboard boxes (like the Reverb branded ones) when shipping privately.

      What a terrible news :(

  4. Anyone know any UK boutique pedal builders who makes Auto-Wah's?

ThorpyFX were planning to release a pedal based on the old Lovetone Meatball but apparently that's gone on the back burner because of component supply issues.

Sorry, that doesn't help you much!

Why not buy the auto wah kit of your choice (based on whatever boutique pedal) from somewhere like Jed's Peds or Fuzzdog, and either build it yourself or pay/convince a friend to do it for you.

JapanAxe I like your thinking! Thanks :)

  5. I absolute love any form of Bass VI, been using the Squier for many years & got to use it on a few sessions/performances too luckily! Switched to the Labella flats first then shimmed the neck etc & had great results. I do have a very cool Fender Custom Shop Bass VI arriving on Monday 😄 which I've been waiting at least 2 1/2 years for
  6. Currently got 3 boards on the go! The big one as a min, the small for travelling lighter at pop gigs in the city mainly & a studio board with just the OC-2 & Cali 76
  7. OC-2 collection is building up slowly!

If Status comments could include GIFs, there would be one of Ryan Reynolds asking a question right now.

  8. Bought The Bassist’s Strymon PSU. quickly packed up and shipped and very easy buying/trading!
  9. Bought Quatschmacher's MXR Vintage Octave. Quick easy & very impressed! Great person to deal with
  10. Yes, I've been playing it sitting down mostly & it does rub a bit but it's manageable at the moment!
  11. 4 Years ago. A nice tribute gig at a festival quite close to home. Arrived early & watched all of the bands on before us etc. Quickly drank my pint of Brains Smooth before setting up quickly on stage (quick turnaround) Started the first song, all good, then second. I felt myself start to slip behind the beat constantly & consistently a beat behind then 2 then 3. Started feeling a bit lightheaded too. Leant up against my amp to compose myself & felt myself slowly sliding down towards the floor. Next thing I find is a very large burly biker bloke physically carrying me under his arm outside to get some air. I'd been spiked. Absolutely terrifying & a not so nice feeling for about two days. Band sounded great from outside (minus the bass) I still go paid for the gig too
  12. Thanks! It's a special one I do like the sunburst type ones but the natural is perfect
  13. It's near perfect sound-wise. Just how a stingray should.
  14. Absolutely thrilled with this Stingray! IMG_0432.thumb.jpg.c8694df521637823aa2e31af5e7832c5.jpg

  15. Just took ownership of this lovely bass. Sounds like a classic Stingray but with the extra string! Little bit heavy, but manageable for me. Been after one for a while & got offered one from a private stock in January 2022 Got a session coming up on Thursday so I'm going to take it along p.s. It matches my fretless 4 perfectly!
  16. Got the Stingray I wanted! Arriving Tuesday

  17. Saw a lovely bass I need to get so dropping the price to £250
  18. I'd have to agree, it definitely is perfect size for that!
  19. Open to offers of course! I would say this is taking up too much room, but its so smalll haha!

    NPD Cali 76 & OC2

The compact is great too, I've got one on a small board so it's just about working out which i prefer I think
  21. So, I've been moving some kit along to fund a new bass. Sold an OC2 at the beginning of the week & have now acquired another plus the Origin Effects Cali 76! I've been messing around with the Cali for a few hours today & there's nothing I don't like about it! The OC2, again is just classic & it's always good to have a spare or two, or three, ir four To be fair I couldn't leave them both there at the price paid, or that's just my excuse haha! Not looking forward to finding room for the Cali on a any of my pedalboards though!
  22. Sold an OC2, Bought an OC2 its's a vicious cycle!

I thought it was an Octave pedal!!??

    2. Owno

      Owno

Aye! I sold one pedal a couple of weeks ago and just bought two new pedals. It's a vicious cycle, indeed.
