  1. Nice! This sounds a lot like my COG Knightfall v.1 however their way more variable "booty slider" is just a cut/boost switch on the COG.
  2. Instead of paying the gas bill, I bought this rather sexy Meris Enzo off of Jay, a perfect choice in every way. I mean who needs heating when you can synth noodle in a coat and hat? Lovely guy to trade with, super helpful, packaging, postage, after care, etc. All impeccable. 10/10 cats would bang 🤪 🤘
  3. I just got my grubby little mitts on this rather awesome pedal from Horayforanonyms above 😀 However, I may need to grow another brain to understand it. Also probably gonna have to add an expression pedal and a little midi switcher for extra complexity and a deeper dive into its Gargantuan soundscape.
  4. omg. perhaps the gas bill can do one again...
  5. Perhaps B-Ringer only made like five hundred units, and are just passing them round via DPD 🤪
  6. ebay just asked for my national insurance number.... so, it's back to trying to sell "local" meat in the local pubs for me.
  7. Thanks, that's quite the difference in the tone at the mid range, RR Tron lll seems to have more of an open / breathy dynamic there. I am glad the behringer unit is good though, you could say more "refined" in comparison I guess, I mean the RR T3 has the fonk, and can be a bit of an unruly untamed feral beast, and that's why I like it 🙂. I have always been a bit suspect of behringer stuff, for some unknown reason, perhaps I was frightened by a behringer pedal when I was a child.
  8. I thought the tax thing was not applicable for "private" sales? [I have been wrong before] "In general, selling personal items is not taxed if they’re below £6,000 and you’re not selling as part of a business." https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/selling/selling-online-and-hmrc
  9. Stew, out of interest, apart from having actual labeling on the buttons etc, how does it compare to the Redrocket clone, Tron III?
  10. sold a thing payed the postage from the total amount from the buyer payed the protection racket fee from the total amount from the buyer which ebay add to your carefully thought out and reasonable pitch, elevating the cost of the item. You can revalue your item to absorb the ebay fee i guess, but "taking a hit" and "paying a fee" are pretty close imho. I re-started with the bay after a long stoppage, its reach is great, but its not the same place, FN Market Place is ok apart from no shows, but at least the scammers are direct and in your face. Gumtree, Friday Ad, post card in the shop window... everyone wants a slice of your sale. I think a general lack of trust in ebay is the issue here. Like the insurance companies hiking the cost of fraud and shit drivers onto every one else, I am sure FleaBay are taking a fiscal hit with all the shenanigans on their platform and so, "Buyer Protection" is born. charge upfront on all transactions for any that go south.. its a spread bet, and remember the house ALWAYS wins. Free to list. Not truly free to sell, some one has to pay.
  11. Oh Gods! £80 is a RIDICULOUS price for this 🤯 Someone please buy this now and put me out of the enveloping envelope of envelopes
  12. Just got a Korg Pitchblack from Steve. Great, exactly what I needed at a price I could actually afford. Steve is gentleman and a most likely a scholar as well. Thanks to Steve I can get back to playing the bass badly, but this time it will at least be in tune! 😂 Thanks 🤘
  13. Oh my, some real gems there. Unfortunately I have an inverse relationship between my GAS for COG and my CASH for COG. GLWTS 🤘
  14. "Who writes this stuff?" Guitarists 🫠
  15. https://www.guitarworld.com/gear/effects-pedals/musitronics-on-behringers-b-tron-iii-pedal It seems that this is the camel that broke the Musitronics back.. they have lost their 💩 [apologies for posting a 6 string link]
  16. Weeel I put her back together again as per the very helpful Home of Tone diag with some nifty braided cable, and a new earth line to the bridge [old one was MIA] was a bit of a faff, but some thickish [3mm] strimmer line helped me guide the pots etc in to the apertures. I did say a rude word or two. I re-used the OG caps, and the tone is still all or nothing, so I am planning on these 100n caps to replace the very old and maybe dead 01.uf [100n] caps. I cannot for the life of me find 0.1uf / 12v "dime" caps, but pretty sure the voltage has little to no effect. Bass still sounds good, very "thomp thomp" as one would expect, just the tone needs sorting, unless this is how it should be? pitch dark or brighter than the sun, who knows.
  17. B tron is a one way ticket to funky town (allegedly) OG Mutron is billionaire territory 😀 will try to do a demo today and post
  18. Like the OP I’ve never had a formal one-to-one lesson with another bass player. Imho everything is a lesson from every musician that you bump into, watch or play with. I find I’ve been playing pretty much constantly and relatively well now for nearly 50 years, but I’m always learning new things, watching other people with super superior technique to me and nodding sagely 👴 part of the reason I’ve responded to this thread is that I’ve just been asked to teach somebody’s teenage son the bass and I don’t really see myself as a teacher, having never been taught and so my thinking is that I could be a guide/mentor because I won’t be teaching anybody any dots. He is 3 years in and not too shabby. I can probably help with unlearning some of what he has already been taught, then get to accuracy, dexterity, fingering, some psychological stuff and some extended technique and assist this young fledging find their own path to bass righteousness 🤘🏽 trouble is, I’ve got no idea how much I should charge 😀
  19. Well, 1st hour = it's a bloody brilliant little box! weird, mad and as fonky as fok Gonna play with it some more, but very well worth it IMHO, very nimble indeed, and to paraphrase captain stewblack "Considering how many envelope filters I own and have owned its nice to find something different" One thing to note maybe, there is quite a lot of difference in its behaviour between active and passive circuitry, it gets quite unruly, rude even with an active bass up its fundament..no bad thing, just be aware that your passive funk settings with go "Full Flight Bootsy" with an active bass 🤘 peace
  20. Snagged one on the new redrocket website @ 75 earth sponds, which is cheaper than the bay at 90 bay sponds. [if you were hesitating] https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375881207306 new slagbay listing. Going to ruin destroy funk it up it next sunday at the Actors open mic! will leave maybe a review if I can be arsed as stew has already done one.
  21. Great, just what the DR ordered. Top chap, 10/10 cats would prefer Hugsonic to other brands Thanks 🙌
  22. Epic feedback fail... should have gone into Steves FB thread but I phat fingered the buttons... I blame monday. Mods please delete me or move this ❤️ thanks
