I have no clue when it comes to status bass guitars, but is this a very early status? or a crude home made job with status components thrown in it? Out of the two you mentioned I'd go with the Geddy Lee, firstly I think it looks nicer, the Marcus Miller is just covered in plastic and screws, way over the top imo, the geddy lee looks nicer, more classic with those nice block inlays on the neck. I would also keep it passive, passive tones are the true jazz bass sound.

Sold to one stylish looking bassist

The only soundcontrol Ive been to is the sound control in London in the basement of the virgin megastore, I have to say that the staff I spoke to have all been polite, and they actually price matched a usa fender jazz to one I had seen online

Hello all, those who read my thread in general bass discussion will know that this is a reluctant sale, but travelling is just around the corner and Im allowing myself plenty of time to sell as I know stuff isnt really shifting right now. warwick corvette $$ in red, had a custom bone nut made and fitted, perfect nick apart from one tiny 1mm dink in the body near the bridge on this side, it isnt really visible but I thought it was worth mentioning, comes with strap locks, gator hardcase, warwick wax. Ive put it on the bay here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-Corvette-Bas...1QQcmdZViewItem but will end the auction for £500 and of course your welcome to view and try before you buy, or should you be in the far corner of the country I'm happy for you to arrange your own courier to come and pick it up.

Thanks for the advice from all involved, my travel plans are now sooner and I will be going in 3 months time, I have decided to sell, she's not getting the playtime she deserves and I'll pick up something nice whilst out in the states, until then I Have a couple more basses I can play until I leave.

hmm, so perhaps enjoy the warwick, sell it around november time, and then grab something whilst in the states

Hello fellow bassists, Just wanted some advice from your goodselves really, Im going travelling at the end of the year, for about 6 to 7 months, maybe longer, mainly aps Iaround the USA, and for this reason, Ive been making a point of not getting involved in any long term musical projects or bands as I wouldnt be able to commit come December January time. This got me to thinking, I have a real nice doublebuck which is not being played as much as it should be because I only play it at home or on the occasional jam with buddys. Now I'd feel a little unsafe taking it abroad with me when I eventually go, so I was thinking of getting an epiphone T-Bird, arctic white, to take with me to play around with whilst im abroad, so this means that my warwick is going to be sitting in England for 6 months being unplayed, and it doesnt get a great deal of playtime as it is. So do I sell it, by the epiphone and put the rest of the money towards my travels which I could do with, or do I keep the warwick at home for half a year until I get back. what do you reckon? It feels wasteful having a bass of that calibre and it not being used as much as it should be
From the guidelines at http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?act=SR&f=36 The idea is that you can post ANYTHING that you want to get rid of here on the condition that its GIVEN AWAY I'll take it off your hands for nothing
Oops! I should of read the guidelines shouldnt I? Well hows about this, if somebody gives away £30 to me, I will give away this jacket to them, and we all know that the bassist has to look the coolest in the band, Did I mention that this jacket will also make you play like Les Claypool?

Hello, I recently accquired this but its a little too big for me so seeing if any of you lot fancy it, Its a genuine leather jacket, made by Matinee, its size medium, Its dark brown/black, but distressed to make it look very old and worn, (fans of vintage jazz basses might take a liking to it) and its a very rock'n'roll looking jacket, covered in scuffs, its quite a bit darker in real life than in the pics, its in top condition ,and still has that leather smell, really good looking jacket, would keep it if werent too big for me, looking for £30, bargain!

Nice looking 20yr old peavey here, could be ideal for someone after a p bass http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peavey-Fury-Bass-Mad...1QQcmdZViewItem

This is one of warwicks rockbass line, had it been a german made warwick then it would indeed have been a steal, these basses are made in the far east and are warwicks entry level basses, the price is expensive for a used one, you can pick them brand new for around that. You can tell the difference between them because warwicks just have the trademark "w" on the headstock and rockbass have "rockbass" written down it.

I wonder why his sales fall through.......
kevbass replied to Beedster's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
This guy is on a different ebay account now, wonder why he stopped trading under snakermusic, someone on bassworld said he was a nice guy to deal with and that he actually delivered the bass personally, but he's somebody I wouldnt fancy buying off, the fact he's changed his ebay account is enough to put me off, think he works in customer service?
