I have serious Mesa GAS at the moment! How do you think this would fare in an 80s hair metal cover band with Spectors? I thought GK would be the sound I was after but not feeling it. Think I'm looking for a tubey mildly overdriven tone.

We seem to have lost the bump function on the selling pages.

Great sounding cab, but I just got a 4x10 so no longer required. Collection or meetup preferred, but I could find some packaging and ship for an extra £15. I also have a Bi-amp cable that I'll throw in if you have a GK head with the option. Now £240.

Great little pedal, easy to use live. £40 inc UK postage.

I pulled the trigger on a Stomp XL and it's just arrived... now I need to figure out where to start! My first Helix product so lots to learn, but I have to make this work for me!

No more than any other amp I've owned, can't say it would bother me when recording. The fans are definitely going but I've heard louder for sure.

And yes, it's a standard Speakon speaker cable.

I had one for a day and send it back as I could not stand those hugely noisy fans, it was like having a wind turbine nearby !

Yes, it was in bridge mode when I used the speakon. I then changed it to unbridged mode to try the 1/4" lead and Output A worked fine... nothing from Output B.

Strange, the fans aren't that noisy at all on this one. You certainly wouldn't notice it on a stage.

Good to know... took the top off and can't see anything obvious. Guess I need to look for a local amp repair shop.

The LH1000 has two 500W power modules, like a stereo amp.

Page 12 of the manual says use a 'standard Speakon cable' - would this be two or four pin / conductors???

I'm guessing (!) that the 4 pin speakon out is wired as two 500W pairs, and in bridge mode you connect a single speaker between the 1+ and the 2+ as is usual with bridging stereo amps ?.

Not enough info in the manual.

From the research I've done it's just a standard speakon.

Hi,

I just bought a used LH1000, and noticed the bridge doesn't work with the speakon cable. I checked output A with a 1/4" cable and it worked and sounded great, but there's no sound from output B, which I guess is why the bridge isn't working.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Do you think it could be user error somehow?

Hi, it weighs 4.3kg (9.5lbs) according to my bathroom scales.

Sad to see this go, but my love affair with Spector has taken over! Great looking, playing and sounding bass made with quality parts. Weighs in at 3.9kg (8.6lbs) and has no neck dive.

Collection or meetup preferred but I'm happy to package and post for £20. 

Would consider a trade/partial trade for a 4ohm cab, 4x10 or 2x12 but open to other options.
