    Famously the Kings of Leon's first gig was at the White Horse, used to be a good venue. Yeah, I remember Paradiddles, think it's a tattooist now.

    The White Horse has closed down, and they didn't do any live music for the last few years, just ropey old strippers!

    Good point, I'm based in High Wycombe, Bucks. Just looking at some local musician groups now... So obvious I didn't think of it 🤦‍♂️

    Great point. I'm used to bands that only want to gig once a month or so, so a couple of bands would be doable. If I found a busier band I'd have to make sure I committed to them.

    Never thought of Gumtree, I'll check it out. You're right though, not many people looking for bass players at all, except young bands that only want 18-25 year olds!

    Thanks, some great info there. My plan after the last band ended was to try and get in to 2 or 3 bands to get my name out there if something I really want to do pops up. I definitely need to put more effort in to networking though. I'm definitely willing to travel around, so may have to look further afield. I'm only 30 miles away from London, but travelling to London for rehearsals and gigs would end up costing me a fortune. Might have to consider it though.

    Not sure if this is the right place, or if there's a sticky for this, but I couldn't find one. Just wondering if anyone can offer advice on good places to find bands to join? I've advertised on Joinmyband and looked on Bandmix but there's nothing about. I guess I'm hoping there's another avenue that I haven't heard of yet. My band split 3 months ago and I'm itching to get gigging again!

    Where are you based? To be honest, you could do it easily enough with a decent chisel, the surrounds would cover any slightly dodgy edges.

    This is a great sounding little unit for guitar and bass. I used it for practicing both, but recently got a HX Stomp on my board so I'm using that now. In great condition, with original box and PSU. Price includes UK postage.
