What pickups are you using?
I bought them years ago, after reading loads of recommendations on Talkbass. Pretty sure it's these ones:

I like the "busted burst" effect. It looks as if it's been used a lot over many years, but well looked after on the journey. Not artificially reliced, just well played.
Thanks. Yeah I like it, a little head start on the aging process!

I like the idea of combining the different "brands" under the same umbrella 🙂 !
Thanks, oil should be cured enough to start assembling in the next couple of days 👍

Going for a Thunderbird type burst finish, but I like pretty rustic finishes so it'll be a little less precise. Bit of progress this weekend, filled the grain with black filler and sanded back, then started the stain and oil process:
Amber stain base layer
Black edges blended with a little brown
First coat of Crimson Guitars penetrating oil applied

Decided I need a passive bass, but then realised I'm skint. Went out to the shed and realised I have enough parts to probably build several basses! I love the sound of Thunderbirds, the body of Jazz basses, and the necks of P basses... so I thought, why not combine them all!
Thought I'd document the process, and my inevitable cockups!
Jazz body made from a very sought after tonewood called Uruguayan Mahogany alternative. Freehand routed for the neck pickup, but thought I better make a template for the bridge one.
Like a glove!
Ebay Precision neck with Jazz style inlays
I have a Fender high mass bridge and some Gotoh tuners to finish it up.

Great sounding guitar pedalboard amp. Great for practicing your 6 string chops without having to have a full set up. Will also power a speaker cab. Comes with original power supply, price includes UK shipping.

Great pedal in the same vein as the EHX Freeze, but does a lot more. Price includes UK postage.
Some great info and videos explaining what it can do way better than I could below:

Reduced to £475
Selling my 2018 Fender Player Jazz due to unexpected car repair bill. It has Dimarzio DP149 Ultra Jazz pickups and a Fender high mass bridge. Plays great and sounds like a Jazz bass on steroids!
Apologies for the photos of the body, I had a nightmare trying to get photos without reflections of me, furniture (or Buddah) as it's so shiny and black. There are a few very light scratches on the back, but otherwise in great condition.
Collection preferred as always, but I have boxes and packing materials so we can discuss postage.

Selling my SVT-7 Pro due to an unexpected car repair. Great sounding amp that's in mint condition, and has never let me down. Has the Rev H board, which is where Ampeg sorted the issues that previous versions had. Comes with original box, manual and rack ears.

Price includes UK postage.

I bought a Sterling Ray34 and EBS Microbass 3 from Pete. He was a thoroughly pleasant chap to deal with, and everything arrived in advertised condition. Top seller!

Disaster Area DMC Micro Pro users:
The preset renamer website doesn't recognise my DMC. It lets me choose Disaster Area G3 MIDI as the input/output but says no DMC.micro detected.
Anyone else had the same issue and managed to sort it? I contacted Disaster Area support and they were no help at all.
It'd be so much easier if I had a preset name on the screen instead of a number!

Cool, I'll post some sound clips when it's done so you can get a feel for them.
