Apologies if this has already been posted but I was looking for ideas around the synth and filter effects. This guy has done some demos that sound pretty good and has shared some ideas around settings (all be it on some of the legacy models)

Picked up my HX Effects from PMT Oxford earlier today. I've run through the firmware updates and had a quick play, first impressions are really positive - quality of some of the patches I've tried are excellent (Octave, Overdrive, Fuzz, Chorus).
Ha ha.
I was seriously looking at the Stomp but was thinking the 3 foot switches would just about do it as long as I had the EQ and Compressor in a block outside the foot switches, but really I would prefer 6 to replace my current board like for like. Then I wasnt sure how often I would use the amp/cab sims (though the SVT ones sounded good). The HX Effects just seemed to make more sense for my needs, and was down to £350 in the PMT Black Friday sale. They also have a 14 days return policy too so if I don't like it it goes back. Going to pick it up this morning, expect to see me on the other thread tonight :).
PMT had a good Black Friday offer on the Helix HX Effects multi-FX pedal, which I now seem to have ordered.
I'd been looking to consolidate my pedal board for a while as I rarely use it so everything is now up for sale.

Thanks Dave,
I just watched the Andertons video on the LT which did cover a number of the FX. I believe the effects and sims are the same but you can use less of them on the stomp.
Howdy Folks,
So I'm considering a multi-fx solution to replace my fairly modest pedal board. I never got on with the ZOOM B3 and it's kind of put me off multi effects but the Helix Stomp does seem to get some love here. PMT have a decent black friday offer and I have some money in PayPal from a guitar sale to cover the cost so I want to make a decision on whether to pull the trigger or not and am reaching out for some input from you guys
Demos of the Amp/Cab sims on YouTube sound good but I could find much for the effects with a bass.
So big question is do the effects work well for Bass?
The must have's for me
- Octave Down
- Env. Filter
- Compression
- Parametric EQ
Would Like to have
- Fuzz
- Delay
- Chorus
Nice to have
- Analogue synth sounds
Thanks
PJ
Haha don't mention anything. As long as it is fair and equal treatment for all I'm happy(ish).
However if you want to take a picture of my bass whilst you are there and send it over that would be cool. Not sure if' Jon's attached the neck but a body and neck shot would be nice to see, even if they are lying next to each other.
The customer returned ABM head seems to be at well priced too.

I'm curious as to your experiences of working with Jon. Muzz, I know you've had a few basses from him.
Thus far he's been really helpful and really accommodating with me changing and tweaking specs as we've gone on. On that front he's been super awesome.
On the other side sometimes he's super frustrating. For example last week I received this in an email from him:
So the next job is the layout of the controls, i’ll do a few mockups of where the controls could be and you can choose your favourite (or suggest one if you prefer). I’ll sort the pics tomorrow!
cheers
Jon
I've responded with a few of the ideas as per my posts in this thread but not a sausage back, and no pics over a week later. This has happened a lot over the past few months and tomorrow typically becomes two to three weeks! I'm really was hoping to get my hands on the bass before christmas but realistically I don't think that's going to happen.
There's also the additional factor that this bass is in fact a 40th birthday present from the misses - the stars are aligning around this idea so to speak!
