May just be a typo? He has the best rated feedback for a seller and he's not claiming it's 60s.
"I doubt you'll find many vintage guitars or basses in such good condition, grab this while you can."
I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt but I honestly can't see how it could be a typo. -
my vote would have to be this:
This would be my choice too. -
The Kangol works for Samuel L Jackson. Maximum cool points already, I'd give that a go
He tends to wear it backwards though so it wouldn't really help with the stage lighting problem. -
What about Flanker's Tec Puma head that's up for sale here - bet that's a cracker.
I had a go on this when I was trying out his Barefaced Compact. I've been using a MB SA450 for quite a while and the Puma really turned my head with the amount of warmth in the tone. -
Not quite the same but I always remember what someone said to me in that if you're late, it implies your time is more important than the other person's. I'm not saying I'm never late, but I'm always pretty damned apologetic.
I remember trying to audition a singer once who when we called her because she was late, said she was just around the corner and would be there in five minutes - she never showed! -
I received this case (big deep 'Musicman' logo moulded into the case) with a Sterling inside and it only stayed with me as the deal I struck at the time meant that relative values indicated that I kept the case... but it is defo moulded internally for a smaller Sterling body!
Well hey, I certainly wasn't questioning you. Good luck with the sale. -
Odd. I had an official MM Sterling case that I picked up from Shockwave and that definitely fitted his Stringray too. Perhaps my case was an older version or something - that said, the Sterling body is significantly smaller than the Stingray.
That is ridiculously good value for a superb cab- somebody grab this quick!
+1 -
Still available?? Good god!
-
Jeez, with a name like "BIG PEDAL SALE" I was expecting there to be a longer list.
-
I hope I'm not duplicating a thread here but I did check and couldn't find anything.
Anyhow, I met John on Saturday to sell him my Aguilar GS112 cab and it was a smooth, simple transaction. John is a friendly, honest BC'er who was happy to stop and chat all things bass.
All the best John. -
Alan made a pretty long journey to Coventry to pick up my Aguilar GS112NT cab. Very friendly, warm guy with absolutely no messing - I only hope he got back home before the imminent birth of his grandchild!
All the best Alan. -
What can I say? I put a wanted thread out there asking for a shoulder strap for my two warwick gig bags as all three of my straps had broken. Steve sent me one for absolutely nothing and was adamant he would not even take money for the postage!
This guy is the salt of the earth and a real community spritied individual, please treat him with the respect he deserves as he saved me a lot of cash from buying a new gig bag. -
What boils my potatoes is this trend for bogus 'relic-ing'. Pathetic.
Yeah, the guy last night had some mockneyed '77 Jazz - at least his hand gestures suggested so. -
Trawling through my local musical instrument listings I came across this...
...State-Of-The-Art Air Guitar.
Postage is a bit steep though.
I was at Rock City in Nottingham last Saturday night and quite a few people brought their own along for the dance floor. I think they're becoming popular again as I saw a friend's band play last night and their singer had one too. -
And a bump from me.
Whoever buys this will not regret it. -
Thanks for the link Alex.
-
I was connected to my Barefaced Compact but I've checked that and it still works fine.
-
Now for sale, £425 for the pair. Need money to pay for the amp I managed to mangle last night.
-
Damn! Thanks though, I'll give Mark a call.

Had a rehearsal tonight and somehow managed to yank my Markbass SA450 off the top of my cab and onto the floor. I believe the problem is the jack socket as my lead end became bent and the socket looks misaligned. I can hear something coming out through the cab but only just so I think there's a connection issue.
My main repair guy isn't back until Friday and he's normally pretty busy so I don't reckon I'll get it back in time for a rehearsal next Tuesday. Can anyone recommend someone reasonably local to Coventry that might be able to take a look?
I really could do without this hassle as I was trying to decide whether to keep my Aggie GS112 cabs and sell my newly acquired Barefaced Compact, or vice versa! -
Great basses, I absolutely adore mine. Good luck with the sale\trade\whatever.
Cheers mate - do you think the price is fair? I think so - bass is in great shape.
I really thought this would have been snapped up.
Would maybe consider (very!) near offer.
If it's the amount you're looking for, then it's fair. Seriously though, it's not an excessive amount considering the retail price for one of these babies. I'm sure you'll get some offers soon. -
It's very pretty. Good luck with the sale.

Barbican, sounds tropical.
Good luck with the sale. I'd consider it myself but it's around my birthday and I'll be a mess on the Sunday.
