KJM, you could lose over £50 in ebay and paypal fees as well so you could offer them a bit lower here and save that money from going to ebay and paypal. Just an idea.
Very true.

To take a step back, it really didn't look like anyone was trying to scupper a sale. I think perhaps people could have been more subtle in pointing out the high asking price compared to new and I believe that forum etiquette is meant to be in a PM rather than for all to see. That aside, I'm sorry to hear about your neck problems and I wish you luck with the sale for what are excellent cabs.
4.
Hey Rob - must be big to tempt you away from your Sterlings.... go on, you know you want to tell us...
Hi Paul, long time no speak. Anway, I'm not being tempted away, I still have my all time favourite and that's going nowhere!
5.
I litterally just noticed your Stirling. It looks amazing TBH. Maple necked MM's are sex. I just got rid of a fantastic trans red maple necked 'ray. Ive never had a stirling and ive always wanted one after owning a 'ray and a bongo. im not sure I could get on with the HH though, that was the main reason I got rid of my Bongo 5HS and OLP 5HH cause the neck pickup got in the way too much for slap. Ill have a think about it though.
That's cool.
6.
I was never a fan of tort guards. saying that I hate sunburst and I still love the look of this bass. not really sure about trades. would have to be something quite special to get my attention. strangely im not GASing for anything at the mo. wouldnt mind a Bongo 4H but the chances of finding one are slim, plus im not sure if I could get on with the painted neck again.
Well if you decide you like the look of my LE Sterling 4HH then I'd be happy to make up the difference.
7.
No Rob! Don't do it! I've seen this bass in person at Rob's last week when I bought a different sterling from him. Its absolutely gorgeous. Rob is a great guy to deal with too Have a bump on me matey
Thanks Matt, I hope you're enjoying the Sterling. You know how much I love them but I've got my heart set on something big - Besides, I'll still have Bluey.
8. Loving the tort pickguard - interested in any trades Chris?
I Believe your right, I think I read it in Bassist magazine when it still existed, and you could actually buy a decent magazine in the UK about basses lol
Yes, I think that's where I read it too and it was definitely Mo Foster: http://www.mofoster.com/interviews_bassist98b.php It doesn't mention it having an aluminium neck but I'm sure I read that too.
10. I don't currently have any new pics so I've uploaded the originals but I will get some more up shortly.
11. That's a great price for a very good bass - good luck with the sale.
12. I bought this just a few weeks back from Platypus and it's a STUNNING example of a Musicman Sterling. Here is a link to the original thread which has pics, I'll get some up on here soon. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=sterling To quote Platypus: "2008 Limited Edition Musicman Sterling HH in Sequoia Gold. Included in the sale is the Musicman hard case in fake lizard skin. Its nicely setup with low action and is quite light at 8.8 Lbs. The combination of twin MM Humbuckers, 5 way pickup selector and 3 band eq make for an extremely versatile bass. The bass really looks like new and the only blemish and it is a very minor one, is a small hairline crack in the polyester clear coat just by the battery compartment. It is just in the polyester and you do have to look hard to see it. The bass Gallery is listing these at £1600 new - this one is for sale at £875." Currently strung with brand new .105 DR Black Beauties, it plays like a dream and sounds incredible. The five way selector adds so many different tonal dimensions. I would like the [s]£875[/s] I paid for this bass and the only reason I'm selling it is to fund an even more ambitious purchase. Now £840 or potentially for trade with money going either way depending on the valuation of the other instrument. A courier would cost an additional £25 but I would be willing to do some travelling to meet up or alternatively collection is more than welcome. I think the theme tune from Minder was played on one of these.
14. Great bag! If I didn't already have one I'd be all over this - good price too. Have a bump on me.
15. I've got a brand new, unopened set of DR Hot Pink .105 gauge coated bass strings. Offers of cash or trades welcomed.
16. They are fantastic basses for the money and I was definitely in two minds when I sold mine as it was a great gigging bass. I can also vouch for Matt as a great BC'er who is selling this bass at a very, very good price.
17. Hi David Welcome to this forum, long time no speak. Good luck with the sale - always fancied one of these myself.
18. Matt came over tonight and picked up my Purple Musicman Sterling. Great guy, didn't even seem too bothered that it had bright pink strings! It's a pleasure to be leaving him his first feedback here on the forum.
19. I saw this bass for real the other weekend and I have to say that although it looks great in the pics, they still don't do it justice!! I'd also like to add that Platypus is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with.
20. That Spector is STUNNING!
21.
Hey guys! Thanks for the comments.. I know that two GS112's are pretty damn amazing, but I have an Epifani UL-610 for my every gigging backline requirement, so I dont think the GS112 would ever make it to a venue!
Then someone should buy it and then buy an NT cab.
22. Someone should buy this, it's stunning!!
23.
As if this is still unsold! It should have gone mega quick! Yet another cab like the HS410 that I thought would get snapped up. Good luck mate...it'll get snapped up soon.
I personally think you should hang onto it as they're great cabs - buy an NT as an extension and have a great gigging rig.
24. Really great guy! Greg bought my bass flight case and was very patient throughout. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again.
