Yes, I think that's where I read it too and it was definitely Mo Foster:

It doesn't mention it having an aluminium neck but I'm sure I read that too.

  2. I bought this just a few weeks back from Platypus and it's a STUNNING example of a Musicman Sterling.

Here is a link to the original thread which has pics, I'll get some up on here soon.

    To quote Platypus:

"2008 Limited Edition Musicman Sterling HH in Sequoia Gold. Included in the sale is the Musicman hard case in fake lizard skin. Its nicely setup with low action and is quite light at 8.8 Lbs. The combination of twin MM Humbuckers, 5 way pickup selector and 3 band eq make for an extremely versatile bass.

The bass really looks like new and the only blemish and it is a very minor one, is a small hairline crack in the polyester clear coat just by the battery compartment. It is just in the polyester and you do have to look hard to see it.

The bass Gallery is listing these at £1600 new - this one is for sale at £875."

Currently strung with brand new .105 DR Black Beauties, it plays like a dream and sounds incredible. The five way selector adds so many different tonal dimensions.

I would like the [s]£875[/s] I paid for this bass and the only reason I'm selling it is to fund an even more ambitious purchase.

Now £840 or potentially for trade with money going either way depending on the valuation of the other instrument. :)

A courier would cost an additional £25 but I would be willing to do some travelling to meet up or alternatively collection is more than welcome.

  3. Matt came over tonight and picked up my Purple Musicman Sterling. Great guy, didn't even seem too bothered that it had bright pink strings!

It's a pleasure to be leaving him his first feedback here on the forum. :)

  4.
Hey guys! Thanks for the comments.. I know that two GS112's are pretty damn amazing, but I have an Epifani UL-610 for my every gigging backline requirement, so I dont think the GS112 would ever make it to a venue!
Then someone should buy it and then buy an NT cab. :)

  5.
As if this is still unsold! It should have gone mega quick! Yet another cab like the HS410 that I thought would get snapped up.

Good luck mate...it'll get snapped up soon.
I personally think you should hang onto it as they're great cabs - buy an NT as an extension and have a great gigging rig.

  6. This is genuinely just a feeler at the moment to gauge if there's any interest and I'll mull it over. I bought this bass quite recently from Shockwave for £550 and considering the fact that the price is an absolute bargain it would be non-negotiable.

It's a stunning guitar in a pretty unusual translucent purple colour and the grain really shows through beautifully. I replaced the vintage pearloid white pickguard with a black pearloid one which I think looks much better.

It overtook my blue pearl Sterling (ten years old this coming Monday) as my main gigging bass for a while but I've gone back to my old faithful. I've also just bought an HH Sterling from Platypus which has a maple fretboard so I'm not sure how much action this one will now get.

I'm now thinking that I want to get an HS Sterling rather than just having the same bass with a different fretboard - so that would be the only trade that I would be looking for (would be willing to make up the difference).

It's in immaculate condition and is currently strung with DR Hot Pinks which are literally brand new on and sounding totally crisp and bright - also looks pretty funky to me!

This pic is a recent one I took which isn't a fantastic photo, but if there's any interest I'll put some more up.

  7.
Paul drove over yesterday to pick up the Sterling HH - he was even kind enough to bring a couple of his Laklands for me to take a look at as I have been wanting to check some out.

He's been a pleasure to deal with throughout, and I'm pleased we got to meet up for a chat.
This is now mine, I couldn't help myself as it's a fantastic instrument.

Paul is a gent and was very patient throughout. :)
