1.
Any trades?
Yep, but only for an HS Sterling for which I would be willing to contribute money.
2. I'm afraid not, Rob. I'm only capable of four string excuses.
3. This is genuinely just a feeler at the moment to gauge if there's any interest and I'll mull it over. I bought this bass quite recently from Shockwave for £550 and considering the fact that the price is an absolute bargain it would be non-negotiable. It's a stunning guitar in a pretty unusual translucent purple colour and the grain really shows through beautifully. I replaced the vintage pearloid white pickguard with a black pearloid one which I think looks much better. It overtook my blue pearl Sterling (ten years old this coming Monday) as my main gigging bass for a while but I've gone back to my old faithful. I've also just bought an HH Sterling from Platypus which has a maple fretboard so I'm not sure how much action this one will now get. I'm now thinking that I want to get an HS Sterling rather than just having the same bass with a different fretboard - so that would be the only trade that I would be looking for (would be willing to make up the difference). It's in immaculate condition and is currently strung with DR Hot Pinks which are literally brand new on and sounding totally crisp and bright - also looks pretty funky to me! This pic is a recent one I took which isn't a fantastic photo, but if there's any interest I'll put some more up.
Paul drove over yesterday to pick up the Sterling HH - he was even kind enough to bring a couple of his Laklands for me to take a look at as I have been wanting to check some out. He's been a pleasure to deal with throughout, and I'm pleased we got to meet up for a chat.
This is now mine, I couldn't help myself as it's a fantastic instrument. Paul is a gent and was very patient throughout.
5. Thanks - I just love Sterlings, what can I say?
6. I very reluctantly sold Josh my Tone Hammer. Great guy, but everyone knows that already.
7. Mick bought my Musicman Sterling pickguard and it was a very smooth and fast transaction. Nice guy and communication was always really friendly.
8. Great amp, I love mine!
9.
If you want a Flea bass, this is as good as they come! I would hit this if I hadn't made up my mind on a custom build!
I would've bought it today if I hadn't already committed to buying another, equally beautiful bass. I'd have them both if I could afford it.
10. One day I will own one of these.
11. Now sold, thanks for the interest.
12.
Man, I wish I could justify this. but I have got a sansamp. This, though, has the mid + mid Q which is quite attractive.
The fact that it had so much control over the mids was one of the reasons I bought it. However, I'm no longer going to be using it hence the sale. I might be interested in some kind of trade, specifically I'm still looking for an EHX Bass Micro Synth.
13. Replied but it's still for sale I'm afraid.
14. Thanks for the good reviews folks. Bump with price drop.
15. Darren joined the forum today and came from Birmingham to collect my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz. Very nice guy, no messing about and the deal from first contact to money changing hands was lightning fast. Welcome to the forum.
16.
I don't have to worry about killing the guitarist for damaging these....
I'm sure you'll find a hundred other reasons.
17. Hi Darren, welcome to the forum, yes it's still for sale. I've had it for around a year and it's in excellent condition. PM me if you're still interested.
18.
Which script do you use for XBMC to get iPlayer? I haven't seen one that actually streams yet.
I think I just did a search in Google Code for "XBMC iplayer script" - I guess you have to have an up to date version of XBMC for it to work properly. If you can't find it then PM me and I'll locate it and email it to you. I've also recently used mine to watch streaming football over Sopcastx on my PC onto XBMC.
19. ...and after Peter changes his sig, I'd like to hear his opinions on the differences between his LMII through the GS and DB cabs.
20. Saturday bump.
21. That clear pickguard looks amazing!
