I love a bit of 80's Bush.

All Fenders are ugly. This one I actually prefer to many I've seen. Edit: Jesus H Mary mother of Christmas!!! I've just noticed the price. Now it's ugly!
-
Never seen one. I'm assuming they must just be on the desktop version of the site? I only ever use mobile.

The logo is nothing to do with the bass. It's from the packing crate it was made from. 😂

Tell me about Floor mounted multi effects
Newfoundfreedom replied to sprocketflup's topic in Accessories and Misc
I suppose there's logic in that but it's making an issue of a problem that doesn't really exist, at least no more so than any electrical problem can occur at any time with any equipment. Most stand alone stomp boxes have an external PSU with the same cable hookup. I could just as easily say I wouldn't have a pedal with a built in PSU because if the supply fails then the whole thing his to be repaired rather than just buying another cheap PSU. I get what you're saying, but in reality it's not really a problem. For the record though, the M13 does have a cable retainer. I've had mine for over 5 years with no issues whatsoever. Unlike many cheap plastic feeling multi FX units these things are built like tanks. I did recently build myself a homebrew pedal board just to keep things tidy, but prior to that I've always used it straight on the floor. -

Just spotted this and it's a cracking price. I'd take his arm off if I was looking for a multi FX unit. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173694698910 Of course if you can stretch to the price of a Helix then it's s no brainer, but they're not cheap. I certainly couldn't justify the price. -

Line 6 M13 is lot cheaper than the Helix and features a lot of the same sounds. I love it because it's a true stomp box where you set every switch / patch up just as you would if they were individual pedals. It's really easy to use and is very configurable with stereo inputs, outputs and line in and out you can easily split it from different basses or to more than one amp. I use mine in combination with a fender AB-Y pedal so I can use 2 different basses without every bother having to unplug anything mid session. In your case I would combine it with something like this, a 4 way true bypass switch with each bass being on one switch going into the M13 and one FX bank in there pre set for each individual bass. That way you're only ever maximum 2 quick clicks away from selecting each bass and it's corresponding effects chain. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183558218430 -
I've gone one better and made all my videos private. So now not only can people not comment, they can't even see them. They were never really for public consumption anyway, but at the same time nothing secretive or private. It was the fact that anyone even came across them in the first place, then bothered to troll that I found surprising. There really are some sad people in the world.

The fatter the string, the fatter the tone?
Newfoundfreedom replied to Jay2U's topic in Accessories and Misc
I have to admit, most of the post may as well be written in Greek, but the conclusion is interesting and somewhat surprising. So basically, if you want more bass, use lighter strings? -
I'm kind of thankful he picked up a guitar and not a gun in his teens. He definitely looks like the high school shooting kind of nut job to me. Luckily, what he did was "fairly" harmless. A few bruised egos and a few people out of pocket. Some people with similar delusional personality disorders do far worse. Although I do wonder what he will do once the attention has died down and his five minutes of fame (infamy) are over. He's definitely going to end up in one of those police chase stop murder death kill first 24 hour true homicide type programmes.

The guy must be on glue! It's a right handed bass. The horn and tuners are at the top and the cutaway and pots are at the bottom. Exactly the same as every other right handed bass (excluding some weird styling)

Wasn't there someone on here selling a couple of line 6 M5's for 45 quid each? One of those and a few quid for a compatible expression pedal and you're all set.

They're great. It's my go to bass.

Gretsch Junior Jet 2 all the way. Cracking little bass. I use it a lot more and think it sounds a lot better and it's a lot more playable than the Jaguar.

How important is the band name for you?

MissEducation. Our female lead singer is (was) a teacher so it works on that level, and it's also a nod to the fake news, false information, flat earth era we live in. -

I like "Purple Burglar Alarm". But it's only funny when I Glaswegian tries to say it. -
I only discovered flat Earthers were a thing about 12 months ago through YouTube. What a bunch of utter delusional nutters! It's almost a religion. It doesn't matter how many facts or how much proof you throw at them, they will continue to believe whatever they want regardless. It's actual quite scary.

This bassline is impossible.....
Newfoundfreedom replied to Newfoundfreedom's topic in General Discussion
I doubt I'll make that much money over my entire lifetime doing mugs jobs that I absolutely hate, so fair play to the bloke. -
Yeah, I think that was pretty much covered earlier today on the thread with the guy doing the acoustic Iron Maiden cover. Call me a heathen if you like, I care not a jott, but I'll take Steve Harris' dum de dums over Jaco Pisstakinbass' pretentious muppetry any day.

I often start to read the comments because some of them are helpful and give more insight and sometimes more information about whatever the specific subject of the video is. However, almost inevitably I have to stop after the first few because I find my faith in humanity being utterly destroyed. I don't post many videos, but occasionally I'll post something for a specific purpose, which is usually aimed at a specific target, and nothing really for general public consumption. One example was a video of a van I was selling. To which some modern day poet wrote "stinky poo van", and another was a video of band practice which I uploaded from my phone purely so I could watch it, and hear it on the big screen. To which someone wrote "That's just noise". Now granted, the second comment was debatable, but that aside, have these people really got nothing better to do? I couldn't even work out how or why anyone would be able to find, or be interested in watching my videos in the first place. Utter pond life.
