  1. Yeah I know. I'm just curious. It's a great looking bass. I just want to see the rest of it. 😁
  2. Two years too early for me. I could tell you exactly what I was listening to in 1987. But in 1985 I was only 10 and didn't have either a Walkman or any interest in music.
  3. I want Harley Benton to release an affordable multi scale (fanfret) bass. The only thing on the market at the budget end is the Red Sub and from everything I've seen it seems to be utter junk.
  4. Have you got any pictures of the rest of the bass? Headstock / tuners etc?
  5. My main player is a Traben Neo LTD. 34" scale. Seymour Duncan Bassline pickups and preamp. Grover tuners including drop D. Brass adjusta-nut and the highest of high mass bridges. Picked it up on eBay about 4 or 5 years ago under £300. It plays and sounds absolutely superb. I've thought about moving it on and buying something a little more "grown up", but I've never played anything that sounds or feels anywhere near as good. Certainly not in the price range I could afford.
  6. Already six pages of them here. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/465306-misheard-lyrics-whats-yours/page/6/
  7. I was tempted to post this yesterday. I'm a big fan of Tom. Always interesting. 👍
  8. I'm putting in a fire sale bid of £3.50 for the Bullring.
  9. I've got to agree with @SteveXFR on this one re the Cure. They're everything I should like about a band. The bass is superb in most of their stuff. But I just can't abide Smith with his applied in the dark makeup and stupid back combed bird nest hair. The guy makes me feel physically ill.
  10. I really wish I'd bought one when they came out and they were selling new for about £200. I was put off by the horror stories of them weighting about the same as a boat anchor.
  11. There was one on here a while ago advertised at a grand. Way overpriced IMO. I quite fancy one but I think the cheapest I've ever seen one is £600. I'd probably take a punt at half that, but they're already way out of a realistic price range for me.
  12. In that case you might be better off looking for something which is better matched power wise to the 12's. The Behringers would probably "cope" but there would always be that worry that you're pushing them too far.
  13. They're the exact same rating as the ones you posted the link to. I suppose it depends on what you will put through them and how loud a band you're in. We've used them for everything from small coffee shops to outdoor festivals and never had a problem.
  14. Absolutely! Professional deps do it all the time. Although it's well beyond my ability and somewhat resembles voodoo.
  15. I've been using the Behringer Eurolive 15's for about 4 years as our main P.A and they're absolutely bullet proof, never missed a beat, lightweight, cheap and sound superb. https://www.thomann.de/intl/behringer_eurolive_b215xl.htm?i11l=en_GB%3ABG.GBP%3AEUR
  16. Trace Elliott stuff can be picked up for next to nothing now if you have a strong back and don't mind doing a bit of heavy lifting. They sound superb and are absolutely bullet proof.
  17. Weirdly, my take on it is the absolute opposite. Wearing your own merch in an amateur band just screams sad and desperate to me. It's way too "Butlins". If you're a well established, professional and famous band then it doesn't really matter. Your cool level is already well established, at least amongst your fan base. Although chasing "cool" is the most uncool thing any band or individual can do. So what do I know?
  18. Yup. Totally agree. I absolutely adore this track.
  19. Michael Jackson was so good, he used to load in and out with one hand.
  20. Well seeing as we've resurrected a 3 year old post, @binky_bass did it ever turn up?
  21. Each to their own but it's a definite no from me. It's the absolute pinnacle of sad. YMMV
  22. Can't see how you can really go wrong at that price.
  23. They still crop up second hand occasionally. Vintage are another great brand. If you can find one they punch well above their weight.
