  1. I used one of these for recombining bass and guitar sound ala Royal blood. It did the job perfectly with no issues whatsoever. I could easily switch between bass sound, guitar sound, or both combined.
  2. I had a vintage Les Paul a few years ago. It was absolutely superb and punched well above the price point. I'm generally not a fan of SG's but that's a beauty! Somebody's going to be very happy with that.
  3. What a shame more jazz players don't play a "metal".
  4. I'd love to hear what one of those actually sounds like. What with there being no expensive "tonewood" and all. 😆
  5. Yes. I absolutely agree. But no-one so far has been able to recreate "Heft". Which is impossible to digitally recreate and is almost solely owned and employed by Trace Elliott. 😆
  6. Am from a little mining village in middle earth, in-between Doncaster, Barnsley, Wakefield and Pontefract. Although I think I've almost lived more of my life outside Yorkshire than I did in. But I reckon if you snapped me in half like a stick of rock it would still say "Yorkshire" in the middle. 😉
  7. Ars tha doin mucka. Where abarts in God's county is tha from?
  8. Hi Andy, from a very hot Bulgaria via Yorkshire. 😉
  9. I hope the drummer continued playing. 😆
  10. I don't know why this is particularly surprising. It's been all over the news for months that the price of firewood is going up.
  11. I've taken pillo...... erm , punters outside for less. The last one got a spanking for grabbing the guitarists hat. 🤠
  12. I think it's more or less just an esthetic thing. I used to prefer the looks of a more modern bass ( my tastes are slowly changing ) For a good few years I've played a Traben as my main bass, and they're very much considered "metal". The band I'm in is about as far from metal as you can get, and the thing sounds absolutely sublime with an excellent tonal range that would fit nicely in any genre. On the other side of the coin you have people like Steve Harris who almost defined the genre and has happily played a P Bass for decades.
  13. Brilliant! Really pleased for you Smanth.
  14. The thing I really like about these are that they look like "proper" instruments with a quality build. Rather than the cheaper models that have a digital toy vibe about them. If happily play this on stage (if I were a guitarist) and the vast majority of people would just assume it was a regular Les Paul or one of the many clones without even realising what was going on under the hood.
  15. I don't think it's either a bot or any kind of scam. As stated above, it's an auto-generated message to start a dialogue with a seller. No more, no less. Some people will maybe be interested in something, then circumstances change, or they find it cheaper and never follow up. People are fickle like that.
  16. I'm not sure about the colour, but that's a great name for a band.
  17. Yeah they're ridiculously good value for money too. They often come up on here for around 60 quid or less.
  18. I love Charles Berthoud. He's a phenomenal player.
