You won't regret it. They're superb amps. 😉

Any cabs you want. It has a volume control. I use 2 Ashdown 112's with a combined 600w power. Never get above half way on the volume and gain on the Bugera even when playing outdoors.

Absolute stonking value! Shame it's not the tube version or I'd snap it up. I already have the MOSFET. These are outrageously good. Never mind "at the price". They're better than many amps 5 times the price. I've been using mine for practice and gigging for over 3 years and it's never missed a beat. Sounds sublime and has a volume control that goes 2 notches past thunder.

Yup. He's still alive and well, and still tours regularly.

This precisely. I went straight from a four to a six string, despite none of the songs I play needing the extra notes. It's just easier to play the notes under your fingers across the strings than it is to chase them up and down the fretboard. Also much less of a stretch on the tendons to play notes from the B string further up the neck where the spacing is narrower than it is playing from the E string at the nut end. I also prefer the narrower string spacing of the six than the four string. Sadly, thanks to a glass back the six is just too heavy now so I've recently had to go back to playing a four string. I've never actually owned a five string, bit I've currently got one on my watch list for when finances allow.

Indeed. As I did a couple of pages ago. I'm now in an all originals band which I find far more musically satisfying. We're all really close friends and all on the same page both musically, and with the expectation of how often we want to gig. Being in a band has always been about the social aspect for me. I still suffer from crippling anxiety every time I perform, but it's getting much more manageable, to the point where I now relax a few songs in and actually start to enjoy it. We even had a punter say to us at the last gig, that in 12 years of living in Bulgaria, we were the best band he's ever seen. (Incidentally, we were playing at Buster Bloodvessel's (of Bad Manners) place here in Bulgaria. Lovely spot right on the side of a lake). Make of that what you will. But I chose to take it as a compliment. 😆

Yup. The ultimate dictionary definition. Although I wish I earned £50 from a gig. 😆

I think the Pog is considered to be pretty much the crem de la crem, but they ain't cheap.

Definitely not update related. Not done any updates here and I have it too. Android and Chrome browser. Looking at the posts above, it's happening in multiple operating systems and browsers, and only on Basschat.

That looks loads better. 👍

Not yet. But it's on my watchlist. Gonna pull the trigger as soon as finances allow.

Funnily enough that's the thing I like the most about it. I'm generally not a fan of Fender style headstocks. But the sunburst on this coupled with the gotoh tuners makes it look smaller and much tidier.

I don't have one. Never had one. Never felt the need to own one, and certainly wouldn't pay the over inflated price for one. Maybe if someone was giving one away I'd have it. Then again, I'd probably sell it and buy something cheaper.
-
I believe it's something to do with the colour of your finger.
-
Don't get me wrong. I'd never buy an actual Fender. But Harley Benton are producing some absolute stonkers of late.
-
Nothing wrong with the Veyron. They're absolutely stonking amps. And the triangle is a perfectly respectable instrument. TING!
-
What's even worse is that I have recently developed a taste for Fender style basses. I honestly never saw that one coming in a million years. 😆
