  1. I hate them 😆. Thankfully we're not all the same or it would me a very bland monochromatic world. 😉
  2. The Bugera will blow the doors off anywhere you would want to use it. I can't even get mine past half way when playing outdoors.
  3. I've said it many times before, but I still think the Fender P bass (and for that matter the jazz) is the ugliest bass there is. It's an amorphous blob with the ugliest headstock I've ever seen, and those stupid big flat elephant ear tuners should be melted down for scrap. On top of that they're usually painted in bright colours so they look ridiculously cheap and tacky. Every P I've ever seen looks like it was £99 from Argos.
  4. Nope. Solid state. Easily kept up with a heavy drummer and a 100w guitar combo. Plenty loud enough for indoor gigs.
  5. Back in the old days, I used to gig in a heavy metal cover band (mostly Metallica) with a 30w Laney combo. 200w was the stuff of dreams.
  6. Actually. I take that back. The White Stripes are the most overrated band ever. If you can even call them a band.
  7. I always thought Nirvana were the most overrated band of all time. Oasis an extremely close second.
  8. As already mentioned. Metallica Black, and Iron Maiden Seventh Son. My favourite album by both bands. While it's not my favourite album, I think The Spaghetti Incident by Guns N Roses was massively underrated.
  9. I've never got anywhere near turning mine up full. Even when playing outdoors I've barely been half way.
  10. There are only two bass players in my entire country. No wonder people here think I'm good. Most of them have never heard one. 😆
  11. Ah I see. Thanks. Lyrics from an album that was released 4 years before I was born. Don't know why I didn't catch it. 😆
  12. Colour me dumb, but what does the thread title have to do with the post?
  13. I thought there was no filler allowed. Have you seen Victoria Beckham's face?
  14. Too many to list, but almost all the now called "classic rock" albums I listened to in my youth I wouldn't dream of skipping a track. GNR Appetite for Destruction would be one example, but there are many more.
  15. That's nothing but noise to me, but each to their own.
  16. No wonder the singer was confused. Did the drummer play an upside down kit with his feet whilst standing on his head? 😆
  17. In all honesty, I've heard far, far worse from well rehearsed gigging bands. I know it's only a short clip but I'd say you got away with it. Very cool stage by the way.
  18. I'll take formulaic rock over improvise jazz any day.
  19. I don't particularly want any specific bass until I see one I like at the right price. Two absolute corkers I missed out on on here in the past 12 months were a six string multi scale ibanez and a six string Cort that was obscenely cheap considering the spec. I say "missed out on". I didn't really have any realistic option to buy and ship them considering the gift that keeps on giving would negate any value in getting them cheap in the first place.
  20. I can feel my anxiety levels rising just reading this thread. I always have really bad nerves before and during a gig. I wouldn't even dream of taking something like this on. Fair play to you. I hope it's "alright on the night", as it were. But yeah, the singer sounds like a totally clueless wannabe.
  21. Beat me to it. I use a laptop bag for my Veyron. You couldn't design a custom bag to fit any better.
  22. Nope. Never had any interest whatsoever in doing so, and highly doubt I ever will.
