  1. Appetite for Destruction. Purely on the basis that it's the greatest album ever recorded, and it has bass guitar in it.
  2. Sweet Jesus! I have a new most hated thing in my life now. Who knew vegan rap would be even worse than jazz?
  3. I'd start with going to the pictures, then out for a nice meal.
  4. Nice, but way too expensive for me. I could never justify spending that much on a bass.
  5. Merry Christmas guys and gals. Thanks for all the hard work.
  6. How can you tell it's a custom colour on a black and white photo?
  7. To be honest I never knew Ibanez made a sixer that cheap.
  8. A band near me had a similar add a couple of years ago, but for a vegan bass player. The self styled vegan activist front man was a proper bell end. He actually fired his supposedly good friend, and talented guitarist from the band for refusing to become vegan. Last I heard he was still looking.
  9. Yes. That would work just fine. But as the stomps would effectively be always on, you could substitute the first AB/Y with a simple splitter or blender.
  10. He definitely didn't make the headstock. He doesn't have nearly that much talent. I almost bought a bass with that exact headstock a couple of years ago. He has however, done his usual trick of setting the tuners at jaunty angles and totally ruined the setup.
  11. I like it! I don't like the price tag though. I wouldn't pay £900 for it. If it was priced at around £300 it might be tempting. To be fair, I'm fine with most basses that aren't generic, bland Fender shaped.
  12. I love the Beatles, but I think I'd rather do time than sit through that again.
  13. Somebody please buy this. If I was in the UK I'd be all over it! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ibanez-Gio-6-String-bass-read-description-no-Postage-/294632665569?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  14. Vintage were probably the best made value for money instruments around until Harley Benton came along. I used to have a Les Paul style Vintage guitar and it was ridiculously good.
  15. I've never even rated him as a guitarist. He's a one trick blues pony who writes and plays extremely dull music. He should be flattered someone was willing to pay a tenner for a bootleg CD.
  16. If you have, or have access to, a midi keyboard and computer, Toontrack EZbass does a ridiculously convincing job of emulating a real bass guitar.
  17. "That doesn't seem right to me....." Yup! Pretty much sums it up.
  18. When I left my old band they put out a shout for a bass player on their Facebook page. Bass guitarist wanted. No experience necessary. We'll show you how to play it. Just about sums up the level of credit bass players get.
  19. My advice would be, if you've already been stung 4 times. You should probably move.
