Wouldn't it limit the bass to only playing wrap music? (I'll get my coat)

My main bass is a six stringer that weighs 14lbs. It's kind of like Thor's hammer. Only the worthy can wield it.

Sadly. Whether we like it or not. This is a direct result of political decisions made by the UK voting public. Whilst I mostly try to respect the forums no politics rule. Sometimes topics are directly related to those political decisions and inseparable from them.

I think sadly Own is right. I've returned several things from Bulgaria to Thomann in Germany with zero issues, even though the physical distance is much further than the UK to Germany. So most likely another bonus of regaining your sovereignty.

Well, having done a little more research, it appears that the platform is genuine, but as I suspected, they invite pretty much anyone along in the hope that you will bring along some kind of fan base. The fans then buy "love" tokens which they give to the artists for varying amounts. Which can then be exchanged for cash. It is to Music what Twitch is to game streaming. It might be a bit of a laugh trying it out. We practice every week anyhow, so no harm in streaming part of it. But I don't think it will do anything in terms of building a fan base or earnings.

Might be worth just contacting the guy and putting your cards on the table. Tell him that the song is not really your style and ask if he would consider swapping it for something else. Nothing to lose at the end of the day.

I've just noticed I had a few emails in the band's email account, which I never really check because we only got together just before Covid and due to restrictions and safety, we're not even really a gigging band yet. I can only assume the sender got the email address via our YouTube account or Facebook page, which feature a few live practice performances. It was inviting us to take part in a digital music festival on a platform called sessions.com Now, colour me suspicious, but I'm always looking for the scam in unsolicited invites like this. So I was wondering if anyone on here had ever heard of this outfit. It looks like we've already missed out on this one, but if it's genuine it could be an interesting exercise to take part in a future digital festival. I've copied the email below to see what the hive mind thinks.

Yup. On new stuff it doesn't make a massive difference as you'd be paying the vat either way, but the extra shipping charges for customs clearance are a pain. It's the used market that's now pretty much defunct, unless you're getting something at a ridiculous bargain price. The cost is now automatically 20 percent higher by adding the vat. That's before you even start with shipping and customs costs. There have been two basses on here that I would have bought over the past couple of months if it hadn't been for the gift that keeps on giving.
