I disagree. It smacks of parody / social experiment or some kind of marketing to me. It's too well produced to be so wrong. Even the actual singing is too wrong, to the point where it seems rehearsed.

I kind of feel the same way about people who want an exact replica of the particular musicians instrument and will pay a fortune to have every little scratch and blemish added to look at much as possible as the original instrument. Unless your going to go the whole hog and have plastic surgery yourself, it seems utterly pointless to me. Sounding at least passably like the band you're a tribute to is fine as far as I'm concerned.

Sadly I don't think his voice had been the same since the throat cancer surgery. I don't know if it's a purely physical effect, or of he's just a lot more guarding of his throat now. But the raw power be had in the earlier albums is very rarely present in the later ones

Only with the Wharfdale branded ones. As I said above. I have found then to be absolutely superb, and great value for money. It looks like they've now rebranded them back to Albion.

Indeed. The Wharfdales and Albion were made (or at least designed) by the same person (Steve Grindrod). Although Albion were previously a much more boutique amp. The one above looks like it's something cobbled together from leftovers. Could be a bargain though if it's anything like the Wharfdales. I still have mine (2x10 + 1x15) as my primary cabs. They were an absolute steal, they're still going strong after about 2 years and they still sound great.

First gig for us on 31st July here in Bulgaria. Although a lot of bands have been out gigging for months now. It will be the first for us this new band doing original music. We got together just as Covid hit so bad timing in that respect. But at least it took the pressure off of having to "get out there". It's only a small charity gig for a local dog charity which the individual members of the band have all been helped by at one time or another. So it will be nice to give a bit back. It should be a nice little chilled out, outdoor barbeque type gig in the afternoon sunshine. Not a bad way to break a new bands cherry.
