  1. Yamaha/JD Bass Never seen anything like that before.
  2. He who shall never be named must be eyeing this with envy.
  3. I used to do that. I also put a tight, rubber band over the nut to dampen vibration. Gave it a kind of analogue synth sound.
  4. Disable the email option and enable mobile number. That usually sorts out the shid. I believe these ISSA messages are generated by a Gumtree bot.
  5. Tell that person there's a third type of scat!
  6. I'd leave. It looks pretty cool as is.
  7. I like that 'board. Looks like ebony, possibly even ebonol.
  8. ALmost as good as the old Craigslist ads. Pocket Bass Player
  9. Status Hotwires were a good flat but I'm not sure they're made any more.
  10. The 'relicing' is awful.
  11. It's a borrowed image. The last time I saw my old one (it came into my hands for a small repair) the brass was heavily tarnished and someone had totally wrecked the very basic wiring.
  12. I understand what a scarf joint is. I don't know how you can tell it's a scarf through that finish.
  13. You reckon it's a scarf joint? They're meant to be set necks
  14. I see your interpretation.
  15. The top image depicts up-bow. Up-bow is initially rectified by tightening the truss-rod, not g it. Loosening it would make the up-bow more pronounced, no?
  16. See my second sentence.
  17. Huh? How would you propose pulling the neck straight, then?
  18. Indeed it does. But I do wonder how long it's been like that. I'd be hard-pressed offering them £150 for that. A bit of a nerve being coy about that crack.
  19. Correct. I once saw a Taylor acoustic with such a crack, caused by continual tightening of the the truss rod to counteract an up-bowing neck. Unfixable. The guitar had to go to Taylor for a replacement neck.
  20. That's the rod coming through the back.
  21. Oops. Link now rectified.
