Speaking of farting, that's what I associate this combo with. I remember using one at a rehearsal basement and it was this model, the earlier one, before they went all 'Trace Elliot' in appearance. The band-pass filters did next to nothing but it was loud and farted hard if you dug in when playing. -
Good chance that those fibre saddles are replacements as they weren't used on late '60s Telebasses.

After the WEM Dominator, I had the HH 1C100S and their 2 x 15" cab. With the wheels on the side, to turn it into a gear trolley! -
Back in the day when ebay allowed messages to be posted, he would go to town on you. But this sale item has seen retrograde 'finishing' quality.

Love the hi-fi knobs. And what's going on with the heel? Interesting TRC. And who needs decals when you have access to a Sharpie?

The receipt is crucial!! This particular Hermes courier is never away from my house as the OH is constantly buying shoes/clothes and sending them back (that's another story!), so it's not as if she's new to the game. Apparently, she rang the bell, OH gives her the package, courier scans the barcode but fails to sign the Hermes receipt or the shipper's manifest! Anyway, another 'file for future reference' courier incident!
-
The Hermes tracking website/customer service nightmare aside, the whole clusterfk was compounded by the Hermes courier who did not fill out her collection card nor sign the shipper's copy of the consignment. PArcelhero initially refused to deal with my complaint until they had proof the item was actually picked up! According to Parcelhero, Hermes had a major collapse of their scanning system, which resulted in updates being halted. Parcelhero and the recipient in Europe tell me the bass has been delivered yet the Hermes tracking page still shows its last location as being received by the local depot on Sunday. Where can one have confidence is such a firm. First and last time. I'm hearing the horror stories of self-employed couriers having to pay >£200 hire of their van PLUS to take out their own damage insurance. And also of the poor guys buying a second-hand van that breaks down half-way through a delivery day, out in the sticks. God love them.

I am an adherent to the belief that the shite starts at the top and cascades down! To be fair, the worst flip-ups I ever endured were via Parcelforce, and Hermes are joining that exclusive club. In mitigation, I guess that, judging by the amount of courier jobs that are popping up in my Indeed alerts, the industry is swamped. I'd still like to know exactly where my shipment is.

Yes. I'v never dealt with them before and this will be the last time. Today, still not update. Tried calling Hermes and got the worst ever robo-agent which eventually killed the call as it couldn't process the consignment number and told me to go online!! Credit, eventually, to Parcelhero, who got in touch to say that Hermes does indeed still have the bass and it is en route to Europe. But the latter is having some flipery with its tracking system so the bass can't be tracked!! Thankfully, the recipient isn't losing their hair. Yet!

Currently dealing with a mess that involves Parcelhero and Hermés. I've had problems with Parcelhero in the past ( this is the last time I use them) but this recent incident was compounded firstly by a refusal to accept item at a Hermés drop-off point and then by incorrect data being inputted by Parcelhero. Last week I arranged for a bass to be picked up and shipped to Europe. Chose the service on the Parcelhero site then went to the Hermés site where I noticed the option to drop off. No other action was deemed necessary as the shop would do the scanning, instead of the courier, so I grabbed the package and decided to drop it off one my way to work. I get to the local agent (whom I've never used before) and he immediately shakes his head, saying he can't take it as the item is too big. I'm now on the very of freak-out as I need to get to my work. I decide not to risk the five minute journey back home and risk myself getting caught in building traffic so head for my work where I arrive slightly early and jump onto the Parcelhero site and rebook the collection for the next day. Next day, I am advised by OH the Hermés courier has collected the bass......but was apparently expecting to pick up another item to ship to Europe. OH explains this to me when I get home and I am then alarmed to find that the Hermés courier neither signed the shipper's copy nor signed/dated/filled out her collection card! I then look at the Parcelhero website and the tracking shows the new collection request then an update that says 'collection no longer required'. They take ages to get back to me and ask for proof of collection. Of course, all I have is a blank card from Hermés! There is no evidence on the Hermés site of the bass being picked up by the courier. Fortunately, the bass finally pops up on Hermés' site the next day. At least now I know where it is. But the Parcelhero site is still showing ''collection no longer required' and are still demanding proof that the shipment was picked up. I've sent them a link to the Hermés tracking page. The last inputted data was yesterday; absolutely nothing today as of 19:00. Really don't need this with £2k of kit on the road......

Three questions:- Why is he portrayed playing fingerstyle? Why has he got Simon Cowell-style high-waist breeks on? And, finally, why does he look not a little unlike He Who Shall Not Be Named? -
