  1. Yes! And some prominent, white false teeth and you're MK's doppelganger!
  2. Mate, that's awesome! And sounds great with the female vox. I was a L42 nut back in the early '80s (lost them on World Machine) and the only thing that grated on me was Mike Lindup's voice. The female voice works much, much better. Get out there and play!
  3. Never seen a s/h south of £1500 for years. Some of the prices asked for these things are just ridic.
  4. I've seen worse. Incidentally, I had a similar issue with a RIC Horseshoe replacement I fitted to one of my Grecos. I used the original pup surround holes but when I looked at the magnets they were out of alignment so I had to fill and re-drill new holes. The E one seems to still be out of alignment but nowhere near as bad as it used to be. The main issue I have is the pole-piece height. The A and (especially) the D are discernibly louder than the G, and the E is the weakest of the lot. I can't tap the magnets through so going to have to buy magnet discs to bump up the E and G.
  5. Yes, indeed. Another example of the (over populated?) EB3 and Rick parts bins being situated adjacent to each other. I don't ever recall seeing that 2651B model before but do remember the next version of that model.
  6. Most of the Jap ones are good, esp Ibanez, Greco, Fernandes. Some of them look like old Ricks and some would say they're built better but that's all subjective. Greco made some crackers, like this PMB-85. Excellent construction. All original bar the pickups.
  7. Seriously? Go on, you've already opened that can of worms!
  8. Anyone tried these? Sadowsky strings
  9. This was a common practice I witnessed in my early ebay days of the Noughties. Guys 'testing the waters' then pulling the listing then re-listing at a starting price that reflected the final bid of the previous listing. Another thing that pizzez me off is shill biding. Late one night, got into a bidding war with one(?) guy and lost. Next day, item reappeared, again with a figure closer to the final bid.
  10. Jens Ritter is aware of these fakes but, like the apoplectic John Hall, he could have a job on his hands shutting these guys down.
  11. In D&E hock-shop in Edinburgh. Mother-of-toilet-seat scratchplate and rear pup/bridge guard. Unsure of model. The Pedulla is still there...
  12. Compression? Never used it in years gone by. First saw it on a TC head I had and didn't like it.
  13. I nearly bought a Wishbass back in the early '00s. I'm glad I didn't.
  14. Definitely female. Glad to see her back on the scene.
