  1. I have it on good authority that these suits were from Next.
  2. They should rename themselves 'Shyte', for that's what they were. Caterwauling was an apt description.
  3. PK-5 is a good unit but also works with Arranger keyboards.
  4. Had a 10-string Stick in '80s. Gave myself 9 months on it, got nowhere and flogged it.
  5. Nice. Mono? And, more pix, please.
  6. Yes. Got three UF Fretless Jazzes. Here's a bitsa one with epoxied ebony 'board.
  7. I remember her when I was a kid. She was so pretty.
  8. It can sound much better buy it depends upon what bass you're playing and what tone you're trying to achieve. For instance, I'd use a really low action and roundwounds on a Rick 4000 series bass to get that rattle that I think is necessary when using that bass. On a fretless Precision on jazzy/soul pieces, I'd favour a high action with flats.
  9. Dury's track 'Mischief' is another one I recall. That release I had on Cassette!!😆
  10. They go to music-outlet-shop on ebay.
  11. Apparently, some dude in Belfast has one. He's on Fucbook.
  12. Hadn't been on there for a while so spent a bit of time on there this morning. Firstly, I noticed a lot of Fodera/Smith copies, more than I can ever recall, but also Alembic ones. This one caught my eye but I was alarmed by the state of the top veneer (and also that of the rear headstock), which looks like heavily stained burl maple. Also, no description of what the active circuit actually does. Then there's this Fodera-style Yin-Yang with its mis-matched 3-piece body with finish blemishes and stain leaching from the tip of the dark Yin section. Next, this Smith-style. Doesn't look to shabby but no control knobs(?), no explanation of the circuit and the appalling way the harness and battery clip just hanging loose. And check the baseball-bat depth of that neck! Finally, this little 'Ray copy. Looks ok, nice flame maple cap. Somebody took the chance and got a bass with no suspension springs and damage to the scratchplate. I've bought three necks off Ali and they have been good. But when it comes to a guitar or bass, I'd save my coin.
