  1. A SS amp can stand an open circuit at the output but a valve amp has to see a load equivalent to the minimum Ohmage of the amp head. If not, the output transformer can fry.
  2. I know it's tv playback but it looks daft with the empty drumkit. And, wasn't one of them a drummer, too? Cwazy Hosses
  3. Not left behind but found:- Mesa Boogie V Twin pedal Kawai K1 keyboard Shure SM58 Multiple cables
  4. See that Osmonds footage....why no drummer?
  5. A 'transition instrument'? I am unaware of Fender producing such. Or is this the CS having a bit of fun? Interesting all the same. GLWS.
  6. Off-shoot of Phillips Cleartone Conversions.
  7. Derek Smalls from Spinal Tap puts it succinctly. Luke warm water
  8. Did anyone else see the meerkat in this bass?
  9. I was part of a production crew on a corporate conference several years ago. We all had stage blacks on. At lunch we laughed like drains as one of our guys got stopped by a delegate sitting having his lunch, who complained to him that the soup was cold!!
  10. Wonder if this was the inspiration for the body?
  11. Wow, never seen an unlined Blade fretless. You sure that's not a B4?
  12. Well, it took a while but here's the Stealth Squier IV. Still got the nut, the micro-switch and the strap buttons to spray but you get the drift. A bit miffed that the Roto Nexus strings had coloured silks but, hey. Stealth aside, part of me is tempted to whack two cream pup covers on that!!
  13. Dafuq did I miss? Tell me!! The link's a 404 job. Oh, a No Pay to Play gig. Fukum.
  14. The Fender ones are pretty zingy, too.
  15. Try http://www.headless-europe.eu/Steinieland/Steinieland.html
  16. Check out Lizzy Live at Sydney Opera House. Rough and ready, like R&R should be.
  17. Spotted this on No Treble. Love the slightly unorthodox approach to the 'cello. Any idea what the bass is?
  18. 1978 and us guys are hanging around the Edinburgh Odeon where Lizzy are playing that night. Brazen, we just slowly wander in and next thing we know we're watching Lizzy rehearse from the SL wing. Their crew were pretty cool with us and we wandered over to look at Robbo's dual Copicat system. Then, to our delight, they started soundchecking with The Stranglers' 'Peaches'. I recall Philo had two P-basses and was also using a Maestro Brassmaster. And he was on a radio-transmitter as well.
  19. I still use them to this day. Get 'em new in packs on ten.
