Looks like a number 8....! Actually, it might be an `infinity' inlay - looks a bit like MOP to me. Wilkes (sorry shaggy) had two brass plates inset at the end of the board for `all those thumbing smack players' (that was in their advert back in the day!). Nick
Yes it is an infinity abalone inlay (long story) I've would love to buy it back but i have no idea who owns it now
haha cool, it would be interesting in hearing the sound difference as i've always been a little skeptical as to how much difference changing a lump of metal would actually make!
The original one was a bit like a fender bridge that sat on top of the body, this warwick bridge is routered into the body by around 5mm & the string anchor too, so maybe thats why it made a difference,
nice, what are the mods other than the bridge and the headstock?
The only other things are the nut (justa nut1) & the truss rod cover, next will be gold warwick machine heads to match the bridge & knobs. She wanted the mec 2 band eq but since we fitted the bridge it has changed the tone & it sounds really vibrant now, I gigged this bass twice & had some really nice comments on the sound
It's a 805 cc engine, dont't ask me about the horse power....I'm ashamed of how damn low it is comparing to its engine
As long as it does the job, You could ride that all day with no trouble at all, i can only stand short journeys on mine then my wrists tell me to stop The power is addictive though :brow: Hopefully your spector will be on it's way to you soon, i'm just sat here waiting for it to be collected by the courier

It's a Suzuki RM250 with Öhlin hydrolics and some other modifications. The pic's taken just after I was finish restoring it after hitting a tree doing a wheely in third gear.
Ouch!! Bet that hurt! The RM250 is a 2stroke Right? I love 2strokes, I've just sold a Yamaha rd350lc, Do you remember them?

Or did he change it back before he sold it to you?
Yes he changed it back so it has the original tonepump in it, it's off to Romania on monday as i've traded it for a nice warwick streamer pro m 5
Wal used to offer a Fender body option. I was one of the few people who took it up.
I didn't know that, So that must make your bass very unique & very rare & very nice too
PS. I've just realised that Paul Herman fellow is the one who discovered the sycamore in a skip in Leeds...that's the sycamore that sports the front and back of my bass!
Thats an odd shape for a wal?? Lovely bass though
