  1. Rage Against The Machine - Bombtrack bass cover, from the 1992 Rage Against The Machine self-titled album. A combination of power and groove in this RATM song! Great bass line by Tim Commerford & fun to play - arranged to brbr deng version a'la Ryan Martinie. Feel free to share if you liked this bass playthrough!
  2. Mudvayne - Know Forever bass cover, from the 2000 LD50 album. My favourite song to play from their first LP! With all the wicked changing riffs & extensive song structure this bass line is hell crazy! Please enjoy watching it as much as I enjoy playing it;]
  3. Mudvayne - Pharmaecopia (bass cover) This is one of the two hardest song to play from this LP. Crazy riffs & mindblowing arrangement by Ryan Martinie, truly a great piece of music!
  4. Mudvayne - Severed bass cover, from the 2000 LD50 album. My favourite song to listen to from their first LP... Quite demanding to play with all this crazy techniques Ryan uses. But it gave me a lot of fun when I finally managed to learn it;] And this bassline has this superb tapping bass solo!
  5. Iron Maiden - Wrathchild (bass cover) Something old? Something new... Something from Iron Maidens jurrasic period - Wrathchild! Superb playing by Steve Harris!
  6. Mudvayne - Everything and Nothing (bass cover). Another fantastic piece of Ryan Martinies fine playing & song arragement. This song is not the most complex and demanding song, but it has this pretty cool bass solo in it!
  7. Slipknot - Solway Firth (bass cover) Fast, agressive, powerful rifss on this song! Not so hard and very satysfying piece of music to play, especially with the added slapping & tapping parts.
  8. Indeed! It's a superb piece of instrument, gave me lots of fun & helped me improve my skills, but I have to let it go... I upgraded to Thumb NT and this Thumb BO doesn't get the attention it should, so I'm trying to find someone who can make more use of it than me at this point.
  9. For sale my Warwick Thumb BO 5 bass. Made in 2003, body & neck ovangkol, wenge fingerboard, 2-way MEC preamp & MEC pickups. Bass is in great condition for it's years. Electronics are working fine, it's fully adjustable (no trussrod or bridge problems), frets show no signs of wear. Nut changed to Just-A-Nut III, new tailpiece installed (can fit thicker B string now). Bass sounds great, has lots of that famous Warwick growl, and is really "in yer face" punchy in the mix. Neck isn't that thick (at least compared to my '08 'Vette $$) and it's more of a C shape than a D shape really. You can set your action really low. Either way, it's really comfy to play. It has no neckdive & isn't much of a neck heavy. The price is £1200/€1400 - including case, insured shipment within the EU, and PayPal costs (I can do this money transfer only). 10. Mudvayne - Nothing to Gein (bass cover). In this track powerful, cutting thru and driving riffs combine with melodic almost fretless sounding notes.
  11. My version of Metallicas Master of Puppets song. Different approach to this classic metal song. A Les Claypool / Ryan Martinie arrangement. It was very cool experience experimenting on this one!
  12. A fantastic combination of groove and various techniques resulted in this great varied track. Great arrangement by Ryan Martinie.
  13. Thanx, glad you like it! The strings were: D'Addario Pro Steels (can't remember the gauge though) on BO, and DR Hi Beams 40-120 on NT. Both string sets were at "the similar point of being not dead yet". Tuning was F# B F# B E (pick samples) & G# C# F# B E (fingers & slap).
  14. I push my fingers into my... BASS!!!
  15. Death Blooms by Mudvayne - subtlety mixed with strength and aggressiveness gave an explosive mixture in the form of this colossal piece of music. Enjoy!
  16. Last chapter of Warwick bass comparison - Thumb BO 5 vs Thumb NT 5. Playin' with a pick!
  17. Thx! I use E-MU 0404 USB soundcard. Signal paths for both basses: 1) Warwick - ISP Decimator II - TL Audio Ivory 5051 - DBX 1066 - EMU 0404 2) Warwick - ISP Decimator II - Ampeg SVP Pro - DBX 1066 - EMU 0404
  18. Thx! I posted also finger style comparison, and playing with pick video is on its way.
  19. Thx for the feedback! The one on the left is Bolt On 5. Yes, it's brighter, more aggressive, and has more "in yer face punch". The Neck Thru is "wider", has more "rubber" & mid growl. I like the NT 5 (it cuts through the mix better for me) more what I'm playing, so I'm thinking of selling the BO...
