Genuine Rickenbacker Bass Bridge. Removed from my 4003, my Luthier replaced mine with an after-market alternative. No issues on the condition - a bit of reflection of me in the photos! 🫣 Screws are included as well. Hard to find used, always in the hundreds - last one of here was around £150. I’m only asking £100, free delivery in the UK. Payment by PayPal ‘gift’ please PM with any interest - thanks for looking! SB 😀

RIP Herbie. A true career bass player that broke into public consciousness with his work. A lot of us are probably here because of Herbie’s influence. 🥹

Any more info or experiences on these? I’m hunting for a practice bass, and as a MB fanboy, I’m quite tempted by a yellow variant! and yes, I love the colour! 🤘

Sad to hear that, but as long as you can finish on a good note - look back with affection, rather than doing it hating it. 🎸

Bought a new MB cab in June, took just over a week. Hadn’t used them for a few years, service was as good as ever. The packaging was amazing! 🤘 -

Up for grabs, sadly (as we all say) is my 2010 Musicman Stingray. It’s a 2-band, black/roaewood combo - the best IMHO. It’s in excellent condition - few indentations, nothing major at all. Pickguard has some wear, but I’ve left is as it’s what it came with. You may be aware of Stingrays with the weak D/G string issue - it’s real, and mine had it. I had the pickup replaced by my Luthier with a Nordstrand - and the problem was fixed. The strings are now equal volume. Original is not included - there really is no need for it. I do genuinely love this bass - some sentimental reasons - but I never use it. My band hate it, so it never gets played. I plan to get something passive instead, as my main bass is my Ricky. As a result, this needs to be used and played. I bought it from Will at Bass Bros. It had an old gig bag, which I dumped (always use my own hard case). I’ll supply a new gig bag with it if necessary. According to the original listing, it comes in at 9lbs11oz, or 4.4kg. Quite light in Stingray terms! 😉 I’m asking £1350 for this, included a courier (at buyers risk) within the UK. I’ve bought, sold, and sent many basses on here over the years, so please buy with confidence. Not really looking for a trade, although I would consider anything ‘R’ related, as that’s where I always end up! 😀 Paypal ‘gift’ or bank transfer, please. Please PM with any questions - thanks for looking! SB 😀

Technically, one. Markbass amp,usually with a MB 2x10. Also have a MB 2x12 cab….but my 10s are 4ohm,so I obviously can’t use them together. 1.5 rigs, then, really…..unless I buy another amp. Which I don’t plan to! 😇
-
You’ll be surprised at the 2x10 power. I’ve gigged mine exclusively since I bought it, never been left wanting. My 2x12 cab hasn’t left the house. I have the Pure (as I mentioned above). Played a big festival on Saturday, the stage guy couldn’t believe it was a working cab at that weight!

Gorgeous, what fabulous looking Stingray. Amazing basses, and IMHO, great value at the mo on the used market. Maybe they’re out of favour a bit? Who knows…..I think they’re great. 👍

I've owned a couple of USA 'Rays, and I'd call them both slim for me. One went, still got the other....sold the 2006, kept thr 2010, and I'd say the neck widths were pretty identical.
-
Thanks for the response. I always play with both pups on full, vintage circuit never engaged. Practiced at home today, it seemed OK.....

Bit stuck here! My Ricky 4003......pups have been replaced. Nordstrand in the neck, Bartolini at the bridge. Sounds great, no complaints there. However, I noticed some weeks ago at a gig, that intermittently, I'd get a weird distorted tone....few seconds, then it clears. I can play different strings in that few seconds when it's doing it, and it will affect all of them. Then it goes. I'd describe it like a battery failing in an active bass. I've used different cabs, cables, but even using my practice amp now, I swear it's just done it again! Any thoughts? Could it be that the pickups don't match or something like that? Never had the problem before, and from memory, it's coincided with the changes...... All advice very welcome!

Ah, no problem. I’m a good couple of hours South of Andertons, so you’d go past them to get to me! 🫣

I also had a Traveler a few years back…..the mew ones definitely sound better and fuller IMHO.

Where abouts are you? You’re welcome to hear mine. 👍

I didn't....I read that the Pure was a more modern, hi fi sound....that was enough for me. Even though I gig mainly with a modded Ricky 4003, I like a bit treble and cutting through, so the description kind of summed up what I like.
