  1. I've had one of these and it was awesome - really lovely to play and suitably growly and clanky when necessary. I think they're beautiful to look at too! The only reason I got rid of mine was a return to long-scale with an ultra light Shuker. Otherwise, I'd still be playing my shorty Stingray. GLWYS.
  2. That's going to be a bit of a long shot. Good luck!
  3. Well, that's one way of avoiding the CIJ/MIJ debate!😀 GLWTS.
  4. Wow! Just, wow! GLWTS.
  5. Oh, my, I really hope you are able to recover from this. Good luck in the future, anyway.
  6. Never seen that very interesting pickup combination before. Is it any more versatile than a PJ? And what does the single coil give you that you can't get from the P? GLWTS.
  7. Never seen a Moon gigbag before - it's almost cooler than the bass! GLWTS!
  8. Now that's a beauty, what a lovely finish. GLWTS!
  9. Very pretty. Nice bass too!
  10. Brand new bass, £200+ off, can't justify it for myself, but what a bargain! GLWTS.
  11. Just in time! That hadn’t occurred to me!
  12. What a great idea! So great, I'm going to copy it immediately. Thanks.
  13. Just out of curiosity, why did you tape up the pickup? It certainly looks much better without, but I guess the reason was more sonic than visual?
  14. Do you mean the neck and the nut width are like a P? GLWTS
  15. That’s got to be the biggest battery compartment I’ve ever seen! Lovely playing. GLWTS
  16. But they're used... or "pre-loved"!
  17. Just seen the attached on PMT - apparently half-price, but is it actually a bargain? It's listed on the Ashdown site at the full price. I can't afford it at the moment, even at half-price, but maybe other BCers fancy jumping in?
  18. Gorgeous! I loved my SBMM Daphne Blue version, but this is real quality. Silly question: is the case short scale too? Or a standard one with more plush to fit the SS? GLWTS anyway, it won't be here long.
  19. Never mine 🤣 But I can vouch for the sheer quality of Jon’s work. Two strings too many for me, but whoever gets this will have a wonderful instrument to explore. GLWTS.
  20. I don't think the link to the original listing is working. GLWTS anyway. Useful piece of kit, but I too now practise through my desk. More convenient! (or perhaps we're just lazy buggers!)
  21. That switchable impedance is a great idea, I wonder why it didn't catch on? GLWTS anyway.
  22. Have just bought an Ashdown four-button footswitch from Ross - he's very easy to deal with and the item, which was a bargain, arrived really quickly and beautifully packed - I would recommend Ross to anyone on BC. Thanks, mate!
