  1. Here's one to be going on with. Note prominence of cake. (And lack of prominence of @Richard R )
  2. I went straight to bed when I got home - trigger finger and rubbish cold notwithstanding, I had a great time and I'm glad everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves too. Just sorting out some pix to upload, including the group photo.
  3. Yes, please @NickA I'll be bringing some too and I think there'll be others!
  4. Sure, @Richard R - I'll bring a couple of spares.
  5. Great - thank you @Frank Blank.
  6. There's an Aldi just up the road for sarnies, pies, etc.
  7. This is beginning to look quite healthy!
  8. If you're selling this, what could possibly be your dream amp?
  9. This is quite brilliant, Richard - thanks. We only have access from 9.30 am, so if you're arriving at 10, you (not just Richard!) may well be recruited for table/chair moving duties. We'll have tea and coffee available - and maybe even cake - so please bring some small change too (that's an OG expression meaning "cash", for our younger viewers). Let the Hunger Games begin! (that's an OG expression meaning "queue for cake" for our younger viewers).
  10. No need to ask - you'll be very welcome! And your mates. Looking forward to seeing the gear and y'all.
  11. Hi all @ped of this parish has very kindly offered to donate three (3) subscriptions to the raffle. Winners will get a code allowing them to post items for sale and so on for a whole year for free. Great news and a great kindness.
  12. You don't see that very often here! GLWYS
  13. Goes without saying! GLWTS
  14. This is sooo tempting. Tokai have a wonderful reputation and I've been thinking about trying out a Hardpuncher for years. This though would tick off two boxes at once - Tokai and Thunderbird. However, I have too many basses (apparently!) and I'd have to justify whether or not it would get much use, so I guess I'll have to pass this time. If it's still available in the autumn (I hope not for your sake, and I can't see it not selling at this ridiculously low price), I'll be tempted again. GLWTS (but I don't mean it!).
  15. Fingers crossed, Frank.
  16. @Richard R "Fixed That For You"
  17. I see what you mean, but I'm fed up with basses where I play "perfectly" accurately and the G string slips off the edge of the board 🤣
  18. They had a lot of Burns gear from a collector last year - mostly guitars - but the barracuda is special. If it's still there, I'll ask if they can bring it or let me bring it!
  19. Less of the sneaky - and anyway, our cat is called Crystal. Great rig, by the way.
  20. The Music Inn in Nottingham have agreed to donate something for the raffle - not sure what yet, but they're lovely people whatever: https://www.themusicinn.co.uk/
  21. I had one of these - the lack of the tweeter doesn't hold it back. Full, warm - even rich - tone and plenty of oomph. Great price too - good luck with your sale!
  22. Hi Steve Had you thought about bringing this along to the Midlands Bass Bash - in Nottingham - on 22nd April? Obviously, that's if it remains unsold, but you'd be welcome anyway! I'm pretty sure you'd be leaving without it! Details of the Bash on the Event thread, or you can DM me. Pete
  23. Hi Phil Are you planning to come to the Midlands Bass Bash - in Nottingham! - on 22nd April? If you were to bring this with you, I'm sure you'd be able to sell it, if you haven't already. I'm very tempted anyway, but won't have funds till then, so... Pete
  24. Mystery raffle prize...
  25. If you've got space (and still have the cab) please do bring it to the Bash on the 22nd - you never know who might be interested!
