1. UP! '73 P bass is now sold! Still remains the '74 one. Hurry up...
2. Up. Another P added for sale.
3. Sunday bump. So come on mates! The bass is absolutely stunning: really original, no refin, no refret, no routes added, no extra holes. Only original parts, no aftermarkets: all the codes match with the year. Don’t you trust an Italian guy?? I’m not into the mafia, I swear. And I’ve never voted for Berlusconi in my life Do you think the price is too high? I’m quite sure you’ll never find another 73 P bass in those conditions for cheaper here in Europe. I know, paypal fees and shipping will kill me, but the bass is worth every penny you’ll spend!!
4. Here we have a beautiful Fender Precision bass, year 1973. 100 % original, amazing and almost untouched sunburst finish, ash body and rosewood fretboard. Also has her original rectangular case (tolex cover and orange interiors with metallic Fender logo) in very good shape, metallic bridge cover (still with the original black foam layer under, used at that time for stopping the strings), pickup cover and the reddish thumbrest as used in that era. Long G string bridge, original and untouched tort guard, G side thumbrest. Jamerson style! Neck is straight as an arrow frets are still the original ones and in a very good shape trussrod never messed with. Is with me from Sep. 2009 (taken from the great Italian ebay bass guitar seller Bambibau) and used very few times (got 4 bass guitars and no time to play) Preferred cash on pickup or I can send it wherever you want with UPS courier (FULLY INSURED and trackable shipping: I’ll give you all my contact details and informations) Payment via Paypal. 2200 pounds included shipping from Italy. No trades. 50£ off with standard trackable shipping (not fully insured) http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u118/Si...ecision%201973/ Many pictures here. SOLD! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sadly have to sell this one too. Another Fender Precision bass, year 1974. 100 % original, sunburst finish, ash body and maple fretboard. Of course she also has her original rectangular case (tolex cover and orange interiors with metallic Fender logo) in very good shape, original metallic covers and the reddish thumbrest too. No refin, no refret, no routes added, no extra holes. Neck is straight as an arrow frets are still the original ones and in a very good shape, trussrod never messed with. Is with me from Oct. 2007 (taken from the famous ebay seller Bambibau) and always well cared. Dings and scratchere here and there but a great vintage mojo. Preferred cash on pickup or I can send it wherever you want with UPS courier (STANDARD trackable shipping: I’ll give you all my contact details and informations) Payment via Paypal. 1750 pounds included shipping from Italy. No trades. 5. Oh damn! If only she had the rosewood fretboard, I've offered you everything you want! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=75678 Have a bump from me...
6. Have a free bump from me. I got one like yours! Killer tone!! Even better than the classic P bass.
7. Free bump from Italy and PM sent...
8. Nice bass. It's an American Standard Series or a cheaper Highway One Series? Thanx.
9. It’s only my opinion but…control knobs have been changed too? The pickguard on 62 reissue J basses should be a tortoise one, with the 2 holes under the G string for the thumbrest. Shouldn’t it?
10.
Hi I THINK its the USA pickup.....Im not 100%. When I bought it new I never knew a lot apart from I wanted a Fender Precision, and this MIJ caught my eye. Old Git (Si) knows I bet....
I think a picture of the back of the headstock will help in discover this. Tuning Machines with a big back plate (like this one: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/image/3261828015.jpg ) means alder body and Usa p-ups. To be correct they are not really made in USA (and they don't have much to do with the p-ups on the reissue USA models). They're just made in Japan on USA specifications. Tuning machines with a smaller back plate always means basswood body (cheaper than alder) and Japan pickups. (like this one: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/image/3262797014.jpg ) Anyway it's a very nice bass. I love Pbasses (I got three) and this is my favourite color combo. I would offer you for a trade a beautiful Fender Jazz RI62 Crafted in Japan for that (3ts, alder body, tort gard, USA p-ups). But we're so far and I'm a little afraid to ship abroad 'cause Italian postal service sucks... So have a free bump from me
11. Hello!! Will you consider to ship the bass in Italy?? Have a bump from me for this beautiful baby.
12. Nice bass mate! Do you also have the original electronic, p-u and bridge? Also consider to ship in Italy?
13. Really cool. Have a free bump from me.
14. Really nice bass. Will you consider to sell separately? If so, please, what would be the price for the bass only?. Many thanx.
15. What series is it? Never seen one with gold hardware among modern ones. Very cool!
16. Ok. That's the story. I had a 1979 Sting Ray. It was on sale on this forum a couple of month ago. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=STING+RAY+1979 These 2 knobs were on the bass when I purchased it but the 3rd knob wasn’t the original one. Furthermore, I did win an ebay auction for a set of 3 original knobs from the same era of the bass and I did put those on the bass and did keep these ones away. Now the bass in gone but these 2 knobs are still with me. Anyway, anyone knows that modern StingRay knobs are quite different from the ones from pre-EB era.
17. I've got 2 knobs from a 1979 Music Man Sting Ray bass. Sorry, I don’t have the third one. Maybe anyone need them. They come with the original set screws. Lookin’ for 70 euros. A picture http://s166.photobucket.com/albums/u118/Si...rrent=knobs.jpg Many thanx!!
18. £1400 ?? Mmh...we can work it out...
19. Thank you very much for your frank words, mates.
20. Really none interested in? Do you think it's overpriced? Let's talk about it.
21. Anyone interested?
22. That would be amazing indeed!
23. Gorgeous but hardly used Music Man Sting Ray 1979. Paint is worn, the body has many nicks and dents and the finish has gone away in some areas. All in all a nicely "reliced" piece. No breaks. Everything is original down to the original screws, except for the volume pot that was changed by one of the prior owners (the original pot is NOT included). Also missing the original muting system from the bridge and 2 little holes were drilled and further closed in the neck pocket (maybe to fit a 4 bolt neck. Anyways drills are invisible when the neck plate is on). Frets have little wear and still a lot of life in it. Killer fat sound coming out of this bass. It’s the first time I write on this forum, I’ve no post so, I know, I can’t appear good looking. Although I can say that the bass was purchased from my friend Hiperion about one and half year ago and well cared. The bass comes with a Music Man hardshell case (not the original from ‘79 but a recent one). Lookin’ for 1900 euros plus shipping. Interested in a trade with early 70 Fender P bass (only 100% original, no refin, no refret, no routes added, no parts changed) with rosewood fingerboard.
