2. ive been considering one of these, the white and black both look good! you HAVE to get black hardware for it mind.
3. where can i find these? i cant find dealers on the internet or anything and im probobally a hundred miles away from a shop that stock them! knowing my luck im one of those who has a complete inability to use a search engine properly. anyone know anything i could look at?
4.
Spend £2000 on a car and a few years later it's probably worthless. Spend £2000 on a bass and a few years later it's may still be worth £1500 or even more if you wait long enough.
very true. maybe something prestigious about basses?
5. its exactly the same on guitar with sweeping. they are both similar. done properly they sound beautiful, performed rushed or performed with a lack of musical awareness they sound like an elephant seducing a lamb. not a brilliant example but if it were to happen it would be pretty tragic.
6. i used to want this bass and thats a bloody bargain
7.
Just noticed that it's in a shop on Denmark street and will therefore no doubt be an overpriced peice of junk. And for that reason, I'm out.
f***ing....lol

do the rolands contain just synth sounds or synth sounds and bass effects?
10.
It's just a matter of priorities... I couldn't imagine spending a "couple of grand" on a car that's going to then cost me even more to run and no doubt give me no end of grief when I could spend it on a perfect custom-built instrument that meets my requirements in pretty much every way.
fairly cool point. i actually couldn't imagine spending any amount of my money on a car right now. i dont drive.
11. i love to slap, and my favourite artist thast does it is marcus miller, he has the right idea. Sure he slaps an awful lot but it never gets boring. On the other hand, flea slaps and plays other styles. When he plays slap, i want to slap him in the mouth. it gets on my dairy pillows.
12. i have a short fuse and couldnt keep calm for more than 5 seconds. fair play to the bloke

cool. is that the older one or the new one? v-bass that is? if i can get my hands on a gr-20 and i cold blend the sounds, say, sax and bass. would sound awesome. i dont quite understand how they are set up though...
14. how on the earth can you do that four finger thing? i can double thumb and pluck with my index and ring, but how and where on earth do you begin to start learning that?

im thjinking about getting the gr-20 with bass pickup. is it any good dya know?? its fairy cheap aswell i think for a synth. can you blend the synth sounds with the original signal from the bass?
16. as lovely as some boutique instruments are, i dont think i could spend that much on something, you could get a fairly decent car for a couple of grand. my favourite bass is currently my ibby srx300. its prolly worth about 100 quid but it plays like nothing else ive played. its set up how i want has perfect gauge strings. the only thing that lets it down is the sound. its good enough but doesnt come close to my trb
17. ive decided i want this and should be getting one after crimbo. might get it in a 6er
18. god dammit this is lush. wait 2 weeks and ill have it off you. only down the road from you aswell...finance is sht
19. whats this "should be"? its all bollocks. where do YOU feel it goes best. it isnt about what should and shouldnt be its an art form...you wouldnt say to matisse "that house is wonky, its wrong start again"

21.
The middle of this has some POG Hammond impressions on bass.... http://www.alunvaughan.com/OMAHP.mp3 All the other nonsense is also the POG
thats the craziest sh*t ive ever heard

23.
I've had an Alden violin bass for about 2 years and have had no problems at all with it. I have noticed the build quality seems a little variable though - they had a few there and the one I bought was by far the nicest Cheers Alun
how much are they paying you...? seriously, im interested in that six string though.
24. srx's have the comnpletely flat body whereas the sr's dont. the sr's tend to have better pups though
