Why does every For Sale thread include a question about weight? They are basses... we are tough, they are heavy. 4kg or 5kg or 6kg... come on... if you want a light instrument, buy a flute. It's beautiful and a bargain. If I hadn't just placed an order for a new bass I would buy it.

That's lovely! I have a 2011 model in Sunburst with Rosewood and I love it. It's my No1 go-to bass. You can get a authentic p-bass tone, a really honky j-bass - and with both pickups + active; you can get a reasonable Victor Wooten tone. I have a hipshot dropped-d on mine and it's all the bass I need! Nice colour combo too!

The pickguard that is on the bass is an OEM replacement.

It's all true. He thought we was signing 'a few' and it ended up taking almost 4 hours! Unfortunately the pen they gave him was rubbish so most of the ink is now faded... :-( Doesn't stop the bass being awesome though!

Hi all, Up for sale is my 1999 Fender Precision bass. It's an American Standard with through body stringing. Sunburst finish with tort pickguard and rosewood board. Really beautiful bass, I bought this a couple of years ago from David at Cotswold Bass Guitars (lovely guy, makes a mean grean tea). In great condition, a little ding here and there but overall looks great. Currently strung with Thomasik flats - and just looks and sounds like the perfect Funk Machine. Comes with ashtray and pickup cover, fender strap and hard case (SKB). Top side of fretboard has some wear, not sure if this is natural or the previous owner did it - but it makes the bass a pleasure to play! WIll ship UK and international if needed - at buyers expense. Not interested in trades as I just put a deposit on a new Fodera and need funds! Don't really want to sell this - but needs must! Hi all, For sale is my beautiful '97 CIJ Noel Redding signature Fender Jazz bass. I bought this 2 years ago from David at Cotswold Bass Guitars (lovely guy) and it is is awesome condition. A few tiny dings here and there - but it certainly doesn't look almost 20 years old. It's all-original - made in Japan in 97 and is a re-creation of Noel Redding's 1965 Jazz bass. Sunburst body, with tort pickbuard and rosewood neck. With a strap button on the top horn, reverse tuners and '60's pickup positioning, it really looks, and plays the part. Fender made a limited run of 1,000 of these, mine is number 547 (stamped on the back of the headstock). Most of the basses were signed by Noel on the lower horn - with silver pen. Most of these signatures are now faded however. I replaced the pickguard and preserved the original with some plastic, so no worries about it getting worse. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 20 vintage frets. Dual vintage style pickups deliver classic tone. Weight is around 8.8lbs or 4kg. Originally came with a soft case (included) - but I will also include a non-period hard (functional) case - and the obligatory Fender strap. Happy to post UK or abroad, at buyer's expense.
