1.
Yes I bought it off Carlosfandango. Its a great sounding bass but not comfortable with 5 strings and also needs must at the moment. DAve
I have a Sandberg California JJ Jazz which is relic'd. Never thought of getting a relic'd bass but when I played it I couldn't care less what it looked like! Always think that at least if you put a ding in it yourself it won't matter! I am sure this bass is awesome - wish I could justify another Sandberg as I am a big fan.
 2.
pm,d
And replied. Let me know what you want to do. Saturday morning would be good...
 3. £120 will now take it off my hands. Too idle to ebay.
 4.
Sunday bumping
OK, so I'll drop it to £120 as I'm too lazy to ebay it! That has to be an absolute bargin now as the 80W version without HF horn goes for a lot more on ebay. Just want somebody to take it off my hands because I can't justify having 2 amps. This is a solid piece of kit that won't let you down.
 5. Sunday bumping!
 6.
it plugs straight in to the cab. Its all so confusing lol. thank you all for the help, its very much appreciated! Carla
My BLX150 combo has the GP7SM pre-amp (7 band graphic etc) and is 150 Watts RMS and I'm selling it in the Market Place section of this forum for just £150. Sorry to hijack!
 7.
I have a trace elliot 1x15 8 ohm cab (1518) 300w if you fancy a trade ?
I've already stated putting together my rig and have the cabs sorted so I'm afraid not, thanks. One thing I did consider but never got round to looking for one was adding a TE 15" cab to the BLX. It has a second speaker output specifically designed for this and would mean you have total flexibility of a powerful combo for home and rehearsal plus an extension speaker when needed for gigs. Your 1518 would be perfect (8 Ohms) as an extension cab - don't suppose you would be tempted to buy so as to combine the too (kind of a re-uniting of the TE!).
 8.
Thanks for the offer guys and the heads up, but it's the other model i'm after really. I've not long sold one of these versions, in natural. Someone should snap this up as they're great sounding and very solid axes.
Someone should buy it! Thanks Basszilla. I am willing to have my rubber arm twisted to £150 at the very best. Anything below this and it's not worth me selling. Have a look at the TE BLX150 for sale on the amps section of the market place - I might be able to do a bulk buy discount for some one wanting both. A weekend treat for some one for £150.....
 9. It is cheap at £150 so I am hoping some one will snap it up soon! I have seen the BLX80 go for similar and these are quite different. 150 Watts RMS does make it a very useable amp for home/rehearsal and gigs. The overall size won't annoy partners and it is of very good build quality. Sound is versatile so no compromises if you want to gig with it. Anyone looking for a combo that will easily fit in your boot but be loud enough for a medium size gig ? I must add this has only been gigged twice - the rest of the time it has spent in the bedroom so it is in excellent condition.
 10. I put a feeler out a while back but here are the full details. The top of the range BLX which is compact in size but puts out 150 Watts RMS (300W peak). Usual GP7 SM amp section features: 2 different pre modes (one trad TE, the other more flat pre shape) Pre on/off Active/passive 7 band graphic with on/off DI out (pre and post EQ) Effects loop EQ balance Line out Mute Second speaker out (8 Ohm) Tuner out Loud enough to gig with but compact enough for most living arrangements. Does weigh a reasonable amount due to it's unique ported design, but not too much too worry about. This model come with a built in HF horn which makes all the difference. Rough demensions are 19" by 19" and 13" deep. Covered on durable green carpet and is in fantastic condition! This amp will be far more useful than any 100W combo on the market today as you can actually take it to rehearsal. I'm looking for just [s]£150 [/s] £120 with buyer collecting from South London. Check out the Ibanez Blazer Bass post as well if you want a good solid bass guitar too...
 11. NOW SOLD I posted a feeler a while back but had no photos. Here at last it is - a couple of people expressed interest who will get first refusal but let me know ASAP if your interested. Think the serial number dates it December 1980. It's been painted from the natural dark stained brown, most dinks will come out with sanding to bring out the fantastic wood. Quite a heavy bass, know for it great sustain and P-bass qualities. Neck is perfect (to play) and the pick-ups/electronics work as original. You'll notice the chipped scratch plate and other marks, most of which could be rectified. There is gaffa tape on the back which can be taken off and has protected since I've owned from buckle marks etc. So there it is, not perfect condition but ready to play now, or fantastic project from the days when Ibanez built basses to rival Fender. This has been my first and only bass since 1994! Looking for [s]£175 [/s] £120 please, no offers because otherwise I'll keep it. Buyer collects from South London. 12.
Copy? That's a gibson mate But no, i'd never even buy a thunderbird to begin with, least of all that one!
So that's one who likes, and a whole lot more that don't! For £1,299 you could get a lot more for your money. Still would like a thunderbird in white though....
 13.
Hi All, After getting the news that we have our visa for Australia, its feeler time for some bass bits. I am after a bit of advice on their worth to start with, (to save transporting them half way around the world) 1 x Ampeg svt3 pro 450w Flight cased 1 x SVT 15EN 1 x 15 cab both St Louis made. Apart from the scratch under the graphic, (see pic)the head is mint. The cab has battle scars, but they do not affect it's performance. Again looking for advice on their value, before I decide what to do. Cheers Gary
PM'd!
 14.
I'd recommend the 2nd hand market, and you don't need to look far from these very pages With the £ in deep decline against the $ I can see new Ampeg prices climbing in the near future, so there's another reason. Starting with speakers... the 410HLF is a killer cab and I had one for the last 10 years. No other single cab goes so low, but it is a bitch to handle. Its almost 2 feet deep, and weight wise is a right fat git. Great sound though. I ran it with an SVT4 Pro with no problems. You should be able to pick up one of these, or an SVT3 for a good price 2nd hand. Either will serve you well. If you are on a tight budget, but really want the valve tone, then consider an SVP preamp and a budget poweramp. The SVP is tremendous and is much lighter (even with a poweramp) than the SVT2 or SVT4. The sound rivals that of the SVT2. Its quality, but at a reasonable price. Sadly I can't advise you on the B2/B3 range as I haven't tried them. Good luck
I'm in a similar situation having just got a cheap B410 cabinet - £215 from Reverb (HLF versions too big for me) and looking for a used amp to match. From what I can see the B2re seems more common than the B1re (only difference is more power and a 9 band graphic I think) so I may go for one. An SVT 3 pro would be a nice compact solution but can't see any used examples. May check out the SVT pre-amp - didn't know there was one. Let us know what you get....
 15. Assuming no quality issues (and the price!), would you ever be tempted...
 16.
Would that be me....... Its changed hands twice now and two very happy peeps!
Any idea what wood the body is made out of? It's quite heavy but by god the thing is solid! Neck just plain old maple. Had a play last night and it does for my untrained ear sound like a P bass with the original humbucker. When it's not plugged in it is very loud acoustically - much more than my Sandberg. Photos tomorrow then it will get shifted.
 17.
Could let it go for £200 for a quick sale...
Sunday shameless bump
 18.
I found it hard to find any of these around to compare used prices. Lots of 80W's, but never seen my one for sale. 150W RMS in my view makes it a very versatile amp as it can hold its own in rehearsal and in small to medium size venues. If the girlfriend allowed me I would have kept this along with the rig I am building. Did I say it is carpet covered (ie not vinyl)?
Could let it go for £200 for a quick sale...
 19.
Definitely very interested in a project Blazer - as long as it's a project price you're asking. Jon.
Blimey, lots of interest! Yes, I think I will be asking for project bass price - It does play now though so you are getting a working bass. Having seen what a forum member did to his the potential is to make a custom tone bass is great. Amp head trades welcome. Looking for ideally an Ampeg head though that maybe asking too much!
 20.
yeah! please put pics up, very interested. andy
OK, will get these sorted over the weekend. I will note peoples interest (in the order they have posted and/or PM'd) and once I've figured out how much I want for it I will offer in turn.
 21. I've read a few posts here about the Ibanez Blazer Bass and it appears people like these solid P bass copies. I'm afraid little detail at the mo - I can get serial numbers etc to work out age over the weekend, but I just wanted to see if there would be interest first. The neck is in good condition and the body has had a re-spray (have to hold my hand up to this as I have owned it for almost 15 years and decided when I was 17 that the dark natural brown wood stain was not for me!). So currently it is a metalic blue colour, but I suspect whoever goes for it will want to strip it down to the bare wood and start again. The scratch plate is broken near the lead socket and the pick-ups work fine. Also volume and tone pots work without noise. I don't think it would take much to strip it down and possibly replace the pick-ups/electrics and the pick guard as some one on this forum did before (and that looked stunning btw!). Serial number dates it as December 1980 - one thing I have to say is it is playable now and the tone, even on the currently pick-ups is good. The body weighs a bit but the sustain is awesome. Bought a new Sandberg last year and looking to upgrade my amp so can't justify keeping this - though I know I'll regret that decision in years to come. Let me know if this project/second bass would interest you and I'll put pictures on. I've attached pictures here of a SIMILAR bass - please note this is not the bass I am selling but just to give you an idea of the pick-up and headstock because I've seen other Blazer's which look slightly different
 22.
yeah its a 10 inch, and iirc they did an 80w and a 150w with a tweeter after they did the original 80w and 130w series
 23.
Afraid not mate, selling up for now. Cheers, Paul
That's a shame (especially losing the Ric!). If I can sell my amp quickly I may be able to make you an offer on the Ampeg. I'll let you know.
