  1. All the way from Chigago. Loving the Flea btw
  2. That is super cool.
  3. Cheers mate. Lovely jazz you have! Updated Trades: Fender P's and J's American & sig models like Flea, Adam Clayton, Dirnt etc T'Birds Other Ps and J's , Maruszczyk etc I have no problem with roadworn, battered looking basses as long as they function! Weird colours and reverse headstocks will always catch my eye. And possible a 2 eq stingray. I know I know I know...but I've had a few rays and I can cope with the active 'tronics on those. Just... Cash adjustment up can be done. Cheers folks
  4. Lovely J bass. Bought it off a nice American chap who primarily played drums. This was brought to the UK from Chicago where it was played a handful of times. The reason I'm selling is I have a scabby Mex jazz that I just prefer. What can I say...I'm a bit of a heathen I guess. This is a much nicer instrument and actually sounds a lot nicer in reality than the jazz. But I just just prefer the snorting barking red one. Scratchplate was missing when I bought it. Welcome to come and try it out or shipping is no worries. Specs: The Skyline 44-60 shares many of the same specifications as our USA Series 44-60 bass, and is outfitted with the same passively delicious Lakland J-style pickups – fabricated by hand and wound with precision at our custom shop in Chicago. 5. I'm sure you all know what these are. Lovely condition and plays nice. Realised that as I can barely play fretted the romantic idea of playing fretless is a little beyond me. Welcome to come and try it out or shipping is no worries.
  6. This is a great playing and sounding bass. Couple of marks and a dodgy bit of re laquering (?) on the back. At some point somebody has sanded the serial off the back of the neck so I can't date this one. Nice wood on the neck and super playable with what seems to be a vintage tint on it. Perfect back up bass for someone but it plays very nicely in it's own right. Like the other one I have for sale it has the jazz width neck and PJ pickup layout. This one has different tuners and a different decal. Maybe it's an earlier model?? More than welcome to come and check it out and have a play or shipping no problem.
  7. Wow. That is awesome.
  8. I think it's maybe priced a little high? Now reduced to £200 and if there's no interest from the good folk of BC I'll ebay it to he masses. Strings are tired so they'll need changing.

  10. Been playing it this morning and having second thoughts. I'll see how I feel about it next week. I'll put some flats on it and enjoy it in the meantime.
  11. Hadn't really thought about before as weight makes no difference to me. It's a cracking bass all round tbh.
  12. Don't know a lot about the history of this. My GF bought this for me as a present to encourage me to pick up a bass again after a long time out and selling all my gear a few years before. A move she is probably regretting now Has a J-East preamp fitted and has DR Black Beauties which have about 5 minutes playing time since I strung them. Truss rod cover missing. Specs that I can find online are: Neck-thru body construction Multi-laminate mahogany and maple neck Mahogany body Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay Grover bass tuners Custom JJ pickups Again..if you've seen the other listings in this clearout...Active basses are a bit lost on me. I'm a bit thick Plays nice and sounds good.
  13. Bought this with an idea of changing the pickups for dimarzio with the cream covers. for a 70's coffee and creme feel.. Never going to happen though. It's nice condition. Definitely been played but only one small mark that I can see. Surface marks where it's been played with a pick on the pickguard. Cool thing and all seems to be working as it should. 14. It's £250 collected which is what I paid for it. I can put it in a gigbag I have spare and fully protect and package. I can take it into work and get the logistics guys to do it nicely. Shipping is probs around £20 max.
