Ah that's interesting, why?
I'm the opposite - really love the compact form factor of the dongle approach used by the Boss WL-20 and alternatives. No fuss: just plug and play and doesn't take up pedal board space.
I wouldn't mind it if I was using a bass where the jack input isn't on the front maybe. I don't like the idea of a dongle getting caught on something and causing damage, is a lot harder to do with a normal right angle jack.

I have to say, I do like that idea of being to whack a cable in it should any problems arise.
In fairness I believe the boss WL50/60 also do this but I really hate the dongle approach that the WL50 has.

I have a Shure GLXD16+ arriving tomorrow morning ready for a show tomorrow night. I have only previously used a line 6 G30 but I lost the transmitter in a house move somehow so I’m left only with the transmitter receiver which is useless to me now. Will report back on how I find the Shure unit. Is expensive but is supposed to be one of the best in the business so shall see how it holds up! The fact it replaces my poly tune is a big plus as well as I currently use a pedaltrain nano.
the line 6 g30 worked fine for most shows however as others have said, it eats through batteries so ends up costing rather a lot to use. I also did have drop outs at some shows with that unit so always had a cable next to my board incase. This Shure unit allows you to use a cable also if anything goes wrong which is also a plus, rather than ripping up pedals.

Reluctant sale but I bought this from bassbros back in March (along with another s1000) as an impulse birthday present to myself, as much as I love this one, I just don’t need 2 of them right now😭
pictures from bassbros to show the marks/wear from when I bought it as it hasn’t been gigged since buying it.
Plays and sounds incredible, willmost certainly regret selling it.
original electronics and pickups.
Cat not included!

Hopefully trying one of these out at a shop tomorrow as I’ve not had chance to play one. If I like it and this is still available I may have to plan a road trip down south

Very tempted by this, not too far from me but my partner would tell me the usual “I don’t need it” 🙄

Where is this for sale?

I don’t need it, I don’t need it, I don’t need it, I don’t need it 😰😰😰

They really are great and sound/play amazingly, just at the moment my P bass is better suited to the things I'm doing.

I bought this and another S1000 in natural from Bassbros back in March this year as an impulsive birthday treat, however they are just not getting used as much as I would like so I am putting some feelers out to see if anyone would like this one as I certainly don't need 2 of them currently, I will likely hold onto my other one for now at least. These seem to be rather rare and hard to come by and none for sale anywhere currently other than one on Reverb in Sweden for £1070.50 they are a great alternative to the full on status basses at a much cheaper price point. This bass has only left the house once for a rehearsal and has been played at home a fair amount. The marks on it are from previous owners as it came like this from Bassbros. Could be interested in trades, message me with any offers! Mainly interested in short scales or 5 strings currently.

I picked up 2 Washburn status basses today as a birthday treat to myself from an amazing place called bassbros. Check them out if you haven't heard of them, he has some incredible basses in stock right now! I am blown away by these basses they sound and play absolutely incredibly. IMG_6449.heic

Yeah it was an incredible deal £150 for both pedals!

I used to have a Boss ES8 and it was amazing! If anyone is on the fence about buying this, just do it! £300 is a steal for this.

I'd be interested to know what pedals you where using and sounds you where trying to get? Personally, i've used it in a few different scenarios in the bands im in from death metal to soul/funky and it has done them all great. I would say its geared very much as a 'rock' amp is has a pretty unpolished sound but I feel for me that really works.
I haven’t any experience with the CTM300 but I see them around and look great, defo keen to try one!
From my memory I was using mainly a Black Russian big muff and a animato for that muse tone. It all just sounded a bit too coloured for me by the amp but I guess that's why the muse bassist uses markbass!

I had one for a couple of weeks but just didn't get along with sound of it, it didn't seem to take pedals particularly well either in my experience. I sold it on rather soon after getting it to fund buying a house. I later got an Ashdown CTM300 which I had for good while and that to me was a much superior amp and sound and made in the UK so you get the great Ashdown customer service! Additionally I found a brilliant condition Ashdown 810 for just £250 to match with it which was heaven. After I left my band though I sold that too and sometimes regret that a lot.

I ventured down to Sheffield to try out and likely buy a 2nd hand American professional II P bass for £1500 which I thought was a great deal with the hardcase. But I saw one of these squires while I was there and thought I'd give it a try and compare the 2. I ended up walking away with the squire! I can't believe how good these basses are, they sound and feel phenomenal, the rolled edges on the frets make it so comfortable. I now don't see the need for spending the £1500+ on an American one.

I had the original version of this comp, is there any difference in this new one other than the paint job? I loved the original, great compressor

Still available?

Regularly regret selling my DBS setup. Had a 7400 with the matching DBS 2x15. Weighed a tonne but was worth the effort.
Which wireless?

I just got mine delivered about an hour ago and its absolutely solid, quite heavy and solid construction. The tuner is super accurate so my polythene is off the board and likely retiring now, I am doing an outdoor show later today so will report back how it goes! I have ordered a Levy's holster which should be here later so won't be here in time for the gig unfortunately so will either have it on the strap or in my back pocket.
