Part Isley but still..timeless gems. I believe Jimi Hendrix played for them early on when he was a session guitarist for Motown Hitsville. -

I have one of these and they are very good acoustic basses. Even Stanley Clarke uses them often. All the best with the sale.

Forget Me Nots - Patrice Rushen.

Wow! Yummy! All the best with the sale.

Haha, very funny!

Nice one, Cheers mate!

Maybe check on ebay and see how much they are fetching, worth Googling it as well and draw up your price on that. Good luck.

Awaiting pictures.

I think its all preference. I love Fenders but I have never come to grips with the MIM's. It could work for you. If you give it a go and you love it go for it.

So I guess we wont be seeing you anywhere near 'For Sale' anytime soon? Your bass looks tasty!

A great article in The Guardian but only great because of the responses by some who know the REAL meaning of RNB:

I have bought some gear on here and on ebay as well with no problems in both areas but doing business on Basschat gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

One thing for sure, I need to invest in more Beatles music.

Kirk Whalum's sax solo on CeCe Winans 'He Always There' gives me goosebumps everytime I listen to it. The first part of his phrasing is just magical!

Chuck Sher's 'Improvisor's Bass Method' is substantially different from other instruction books I've seen, and very good, I think, for the student who's already mastered some of the basics. Instructs for double bass and electric bass: http://www.shermusic...961470100.shtml

What kind of things are you thinking about, my friend? Classical theory or Jazz/Rock/Pop? I assume the latter but wanted to be sure? I think this is a great cause and wonder if we could contact publishers for overstocks etc. I assume there is a limited budget?

I think the Jazz/Rock/Pop route would do best. Yes, the budget is pretty limited. -
Thanks!

Well my GAS is going very well so far this year. I have the EBS Reidmar which sounds amazing. I have the EBS Classic 112 which also sounds amazing.
However, I now have GAS for the following,
A Fender Japan Jazz 66B in white with matching headstock, blocks and binding. Yummy.

When I bought my current 'go-to' bass, it was by chance because I was looking at something else. But when I saw it, I knew I had to buy it on the spot.
I didnt like the colour at the time and it bugged me after I had purchased it. I was happy with everything else just the colour was a bit off putting. Now, 2 years later, its not something that bothers me at all. I am happy with it through and through.
My question is: besides the brand, do you consider things like colour when you purchase a bass?
