2. Thinking of picking up one of these to play my guitar through - was going to plump for the Vox Pathfinder 15R but these seem to have the edge from what I've read. None of the music shops in my area have them so I will probably have to buy it blind. Always wanted a Vox amp but swayed by the portability and range of features the Micro Cube has. Confused.com!

4. Thanks for the heads up OldG, I'll get on it as soon as I can!
5. Here we have my trusty MarkBass CMD102p combo for sale. As in the basses for sale thread, I am giving up being a gigging bassist so this bad boy has got to go. Only gigged once. it’s in mint condition. This combo is absolutely the dogs, it is unbelievably loud and these things come highly rated. It’s 300w into 4Ω, 500 into 8Ω with an extension speaker added. The amp section of the combo is basically a LMII in all but name. It’s mega lightweight and really does move some air, I’ve rarely had the gain past 10 o’clock. I’m not going to list all the features as you probably know what they are already, but any questions please ask. Asking £600 I can't upload photos for some reason so if you're interested please PM me and I'll send some photos onto you. Thanks for looking!
6. My CIJ '62 Precision is up for sale, please see the link in the main marketplace thread!
7. Righto folks, the time has come for me to finally wave goodbye to being a gigging bassist – this means I am reluctantly giving up the best bass I have ever owned. I don’t have much time to dedicate to playing, and I have a cheap bass to noodle on - so this one won’t be played, and an instrument this good deserves someone to really put it through it’s paces. Bought in 2009 from Guitar Emporium, this has only seen live action once (I had a rush of blood to the head and upgraded all my gear the week before three of five band members jacked it in) so it is in mint condition – only used for studio work. Vintage white with torty pickguard, rosewood board with standard P pickup and chrome hardware, standard neck (42mm at nut). Everyone knows the reputation of the CIJ Fenders, and this one is no different. Asking [s]£600[/s] £500. Please contact for details etc. Will throw in the Protection Racket semi-solid case for nothing. I can't seem to upload photos for some reason - until I work out what's going wrong PM me and I'll mail them to you. Cheers for looking
8. - When I saw the title of your thread I got a bit excited that the above had actually happened! Damn you!
9. Dunno, but it's something that's always bothered me. Lots of nice rightys come up for sale on the forum but it's either the more expensive MIA or the (now) just as expensive and much harder to source MIJs for us. Even a standard in 2/3 colours like they do with the Jazz would do for me - and I reckon they'd sell plenty
10. Is it left handed? I've been after one of those for ages!
11. Squier P Special anyone?? £100? Pics to follow
12. And another! Welcome!
13. Has anyone seen any pics of Throwoff's Stingray yet?
14. Get one. I never looked back after I got my CIJ, some of the Squier CV/VM series are seriously good for the money, as has already been mentioned above
15. Welcome to the forum from a fellow Manc
16. Thanks very much for the replies everyone. The comments have been very positive so i think i'm going to take the plunge and see how it goes. I'm not the best bass player ever, but i think the fretless will give me the challenge i need to put in some serious practice and hopefully progress as a musician. Cheers everyone!
17. Hello all, I've been toying with having a go at fretless for ages now, I think it would increase my playing repertoire and sharpen up my ear (in theory, right?) Anyway, it's since i got into Pino's earlier stuff with Paul Young and some Talk Talk that i've been thinking more and more about it - the only issue is that i'm a lefty - but i've seen some fairly cheap Warwick Rockbass Streamers that are at a price too good to pass up, even if they're not the best. I may not even be able to do it, or hate it - hence why i'm more inclined to pick up something cheap and playable to start with. They aren't lined, but hey, i like a challenge Anybody got any experience of these basses, or any tips or hints to help along the way? Cheers
18. There was a righty Dean Pace on Leftybass a bit back that had been converted to lefty, not sure of any others around to be honest!
19. For me it's got to be Jamerson / McCartney / Rourke / Bruce Thomas (The Attractions)
20. Born Under A Bad Sign by Albert King's a cracking tune to play along to
21. Sorry to hijack this thread, but i'm also a lefty looking at giving fretless a go, and there are some mega cheap Rockbass offerings on Thomann - anyone know if they're any good?
