When the notification popped up for this threas I admit to thinking "what was that about?". So I read the start again to remind me before I read the update. This is definitely and officially a Good Outcome! Here's to many more years of gigging.

I can't really see the effect on ge photos on that web site. You have to work fast too, 1min between coats and only 1 hour working time before the two components on the can go off. And any runs will really show. I hope you're brave enough to try it!

There are lots of options for collaboration. One of our bands uses BandLab to record the songs, then iMovie for the basic video. Another has used Acapella, but it isn't as poweful. The whole service gets edited together with either Lightworks or Filmora, depending on who is doing it. This was todays, the BandLab song is from about 16mins in. No bass 😞 What is worth mentioning is the sheer time it takes to do. After all the sections are recorded, we reckon the editing, adding words to other peoples videos, trims and fades, words on songs, images if there is no video for a song, recheck etc etc, takes 2 of us betwen 7-10 hours each per week. Which is why I have barely touched the bass.

New Edge is a good browser. Chromium engine under the hood, built in add blocker, and faster than Chrome.

Teams is rolling out video for 9 at the moment, different people will get it at different times. The downside is that for the free version you have to join the organisation, as we found. You can use an Android phone as a webcam. DroidCam runs as an app on the phone, with a client app on the PC. Once installes, and PC rebooted, then when DroidCam is running it appears as another webcam, USB or wireless. Conferencing apps should recognise it. I have a cunning plan to set up a camera on the bird table using my daughter's old phone. She doesn't know this yet.

Hi all, Sorry I haven't had the time to come back to this thread or set up any sort of test/trial. I currently have a wide open test Jitsi meeting room at: https://meet.jit.si/Sohowdoesthisthingwork67 Jitsi is very like Zoom and can handle multiple people on the view, but there is no sharing of data to social networks. From a PC there is no requirement to install anything, it should run fine in the browser. IPad and phones there is a lightweight app. I'll be there about 8pm on Monday if anyone wants to say hello. The room should be unsecured, so you can just hit the link now and test, even if I am not there as host. I think. Please don't share the URL though. I have a Cisco meeting room too, but I haven't used that yet. Cheers, Rich =====

Yep!! Describes my day today completely, except I haven't had to try. I'll check out the band as well 😉 -

Radiohead, The Bends. I've decided I don't actually like it that much. Hopefully I will enjoy OK Computer a bit more. -

But that is still ahead of my build, which exists only as vague ideas of what I might do given time, space, and money. These builds are inspiring, just such a staggeringly standard. -

I have to ask @owen, has your build progressed beyond the clean sheet of paper stage yet? (still ahead of mine, I should add) -
But my wife would complain 😁

Looking forward to playing this, probably on Tuesday. I'm still listening to all my CDs alphabetically. Finished Queen, Radiohead and RedHills next, then REM. -

A sort of luthier Jekel and Hyde. In the day and early evening a mild mannered and careful craftsman. But by the light of the moon... beware!! -

Never heard of this guy until yesterday. -
The advice I got when I started was to always play with the strap on, as it in theory means your bass is in the same position whether you are sitting or standing. If you practice a lot with the bass at one angle, then it's different when you play, you'll make a lot of mistakes as a beginner. I never sit to practice. +1 for the SBL lesson, and getting a wide strap.

I agree, and they wouldn't yelllow over time.

Queen, Made in Heaven. Not played this one for years either. "Too much love will kill you" is one hell of a song.
