  1. Great sounding bass, and the midi provides even more options. Sadly I don't play fretless. One day I'll find a fretted Ultra A5, but until then - good luck with the sale!
  2. We have a Qu32 and are generally moving to IEM, fed from the desk mix/group outputs. Some people bought their own wireless IEM transmitter/receiver packs (Gear 4 Music own brand I think), but we find they are intermittently hissy. Much more reliable have been the Behringer PowerPlay P2 wired IEM amps. There is a dip switch to select stereo/mono and we run them all as mono. (Stereo is nicer, but uses too many channels). For mixing we either have the engineer do the mix, or people use a phone app over WiFi. The A&H app is OK, and I would recommend that.I use MixingStation as it offers a lot more control, and I can adjust other people's foldback as well. In fact I can run the entire FOH, so we don't recommend it for most musicians. Hope that helps. Anyone who wants to come over to Solihull sometime is more than welcome. We learned by visiting others, so happy to pass on what we know.
  3. This, again. The whole album has such a great groove. Relaxed, but the muscles are there.
  4. Ours were the expensive PTZ optics ones, we were blessed by some generous donations. Not sure what you would get for £300, but digital PTZ are around £600.
  5. How about Monitor O/P, which looks like the obvious output? Hopefully all solved anyway!
  6. That's fantastic! And of course everyone else will also be thinking "Wow, that was good I'd better up my game and make sure I don't let the band down", so you'll all get better together. Let us know when you're playing!
  7. Welcome back!
  8. Welcome aboard! Thurso is a lovely place. Just a shame most of us are too far away from there. Though of course, if we all did live closer then it would spoil the area completely!
  9. Welcome aboard!
  10. Looks excellent. 👍 Do wiring, play with the new pedal, go out to the cinema. Do whatever you need to distract yourself, but definitely let it harden completely. After 7 coats it looks far to good to accidentally ding the finish.
  11. Hi @ead 34" standard scale.
  12. Further to my previous comment:
  13. Update: I was able to compare this to a Warwick Thumb at the Midlands Bass Bash, and in fact they are almost exactly the same size. I remember thumbs as being bigger, evidently I was wrong.
  14. Assuming you are a genius who has some time to invest and isn't costing it 😁 Sadly us mere mortals can only watch in awe from the cabbage fields.
  15. Welcome aboard!
  16. Spot on! If I email Spector, will they tell me the date of manufacture?
  17. Are we happy to use the same venue for next year?
  18. Thanks all. It won't be sold, it's going to get played again now. Churches, as charities, have audited accounts so an idea of asset value is important. Where would I get knobs from?
  19. Thanks all! I'll send the ident chart over and see if it's bolt on or set neck, that should settle it, and get the s/n if it is on the headstock. Where can we source new gold knobs, and what's the current value of the bass likely to be?
  20. Careful @Frank Blank, you'll end up enjoying yourself! 😉 @Owen - did you get the bass? I forgot to ask.
  21. Turns out the lead guitarist at church used to play bass when he was a yoof, and brought this along this morning. He's borrowed it from his old church, where it's sat unplayed for ages. Can anyone identify the model? Estimate it was purchased about 15 years ago, guess would have been no more than £300 new. The back is nicely chamfered and it's two EMG HiZ pickups. Not sure on what the knobs do, but when I collect it to set it up I will find out.
  22. Sorry again, was that baking powder or bicarb I should use if my nuts dropped too low?
  23. Great photos, Pete. Some of the gear would be good as well. I know we've not had the invoice for the hall, but do you have an idea of the the profit on the day to go to Nordorf Robbins?
  24. I really should have had a proper look at that. @Marillionred - is that a standard thumb size? The reason for asking is that the Westfield is for sale, and I've stated it is smaller than a thumb. But compared to yours it is almost exactly the same size, so I need to correct the advertisement.
