  1. Apple Music seems to me to be pretty hopeless when it comes to album release years. I'm forever correcting one of my friends who uses it.
  2. Yes this place has changed: Now it's an awesome community. And no doubt even more so with your return. 😁
  3. I had finally figured out how to justify this earlier in the month. 😃 And then I was made redundant. 😠
  4. On the other side of the equation: We expanded our band for last Sunday to include a sax and, more importantly for me, a drummer! It was a celebration service for our minister who retired that weekend, and I have to say it was great!
  5. McCartney's set at Glastonbury. Great set, and love the drummer's expressions!
  6. Very tactful! Like that approach 👌
  7. It is annoying. There is something peculiar about church bands that seems to provide fertile ground for seeds of discord and anger. I wrote an email last night about the stage layout and activities comming up in the next month. Knowing how this pushes people's buttons and causes grief in our church I signed off with "Please consider the problem and pray before you reply." Hopefully we get to a harmonious decision quickly.
  8. You started this thread in Jan 2020, I bet you never expected then to wait nearly 18 months before playing live with the band!
  9. Very impressive! I'm surprised that the printed components have the required strength. Most of what I've seen printed has next to no strength and certainly wouldn't hold anything under tension.
  10. Worst case scenario- Trampa has become sentient and taken over the CNC machine to create an army of killer instruments. S'manth has had to take on Sarah Connor's role and is fighting back with the mantra "There is no bass but what we make". Sorry, it's been a long day.
  11. I don't think this has already been posted, apologies if it has. I do like Tim Hawkins' parodies, and his guitar playing on this is excellent. Probably not representative of any of our Sunday services though. 🙃
  12. Does your father-in-law want a vintage lawnmower? I'm trying to imagine the look of bemused politeness if he actually expected a Joni Mitchell CD.
  13. Welcome aboard! I wouldn't worry about being human or not. Nip over to the Den of Iniquity thread, and you'll quickly realise that many humans talk absolute rubbish!
  14. Welcome aboard! Never to late to start on bass 😉
  15. At the other extreme is the bass player from Hayseed Dixie. He's enormous, and the vast acoustic bass he plays looks like a toy. Great band live btw!
  16. I listened through all my CDs in lockdown, alphabetical by artist, chronological within artist. There were some that didn't make much on an impact 30 years after I bought them but surprisingly few stinkers. Lemon Jelly however was utter tosh, despite the reviews.
  17. Really nice looking guitar. I especially like the pick guard shape.
  18. Good point. In my defence, I wear particularly thick socks, so the approximation to a planar surface doesn't apply.* * he says, quickly thinking on his feet.
  19. See the Big SW Bass Bash in the Events listing
  20. Welcome aboard! 🇫🇷🇬🇧🎸
