    Hi.

Sounds excellent to me - play the music you love to people who also love it and wouldn't hear it live anywhere else. 👍
  2. OK, so we're into what software developers refer to as "weird sh!t territory."

    Hi.

Welcome aboard! What sort of music?
  4. Does it work for other sites that use 2FA? I've had a mooch round the Mozilla support sites, and it may be that you need to disable advanced protection for BC, as its possible that the cookie confirming the authentication is not permitted. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/total-cookie-protection-and-website-breakage-faq#w_what-kind-of-breakages-does-total-cookie-protection-cause I can install FF and test, but probably not this weekend.
  5. Noooooooo!!!!! We must resolve this issue. There are disk manufacturers across the world whose 2025 forecasts are based on the exponential growth of the DOI thread!
  6. You can change the name in MS Authenticator, it just said "Account", so I changed it to "BC". Google probably does the same, look for a pencil icon somewhere where nobody sensible would put it...
  7. That is a fabulous finish! Go on - go for it!
  8. I thought about buying this bass when it was up for sale, I'm glad I didn't as you're creating something unique here. Excellent work, really good indeed!
  9. I've updated the first post to say the answer is on p2.
  10. I own my bass, IEMs and a few DI boxes which I bought but everyone uses so I don't care. Technically I co-own the PA with about 250 other people - that's what happens when you only play in church.
  11. Welcome aboard! You're in the right place, all the best bass brains on the planet are here. And lots of the rest of us, trying to learn from them. 😁
  12. MS Authenticator seems to work OK as well Scan the QR code offered when Google Authenticator is chosen. I'm all in favour of 2FA for change of security parameters on web sites. It doesn't intrude on normal operation and it is best practice. And as bass players - we know all about Best Practice 😁
  13. According to his profile @Hamster hasn't signed in on BC since May 17th. He's probably just enjoying Real Life and the Surrey pubs rather than wasting time on BC, but is anyone able to confirm he's OK?
  14. We had the winner a few posts back: "Is this the way to Amarillo" So nothing at all to do with gorillas, but it did have a pillow in the lyrics! And my colleague's WhatsApp post give a good indication of her confusion about the song too.
  15. What else the morning after an election?
  16. Ah sorry, just realised you were querying my typo, not wondering what the Garrick Club was! Maybe Carrick will allow Dame Judy on guest vocals one day?

    Hello

Welcome aboard! What bass and rig do you have?
  18. Memorised RHCP - hats off, I can't remember The Chain. Welcome aboard!
  19. ... in the middle of the night in mysterious circumstances? ... leaving only her hat and a cigar? The suspense is unbearable! Welcome aboard!

  21. his/her chances. Unlike the Carrick, women have always been welcome at BassChat. 😊
  22. I've never counted BB raffle tickets as gear. What with a lot of business travel, staying away, and needing to be on tech rather than in the band at church I have played once this year and may only manage twice more. This means the gear I have isn't getting used, I don't get to practice at home, and I can't justify more stuff. Unless a 35" 5 string travel bass for well under £200 exists....
  23. We have an answer!!!! It is But you really need to read the WhatsApp messages that came when I was sent that: Worth it just for the level of confusion on show!! 🤣
