  1. Welcome aboard! Though if you're still on the canal perhaps that greeting is irrelevant 😁
  2. Welcome aboard! Where abouts in the bay area are you?My company HQ is Menlo Park, and is expanding like mad. We're shipping IT kit to people's homes, so I've unexpectedly had to look up places like Santa Cruz, Fremont, Palo Alto, Cabalo. I live near Birmingham in the UK, so SF all seems very exotic.
  3. Welcome aboard! Very nIce indeed. How about confusing yourself further by stringing E-C?

    Hello!

    Welcome aboard!
  5. I know you can't change the original price field, but I thought normal users like us could edit the post title to say the price is reduced, so both figures are visible: That's what the FAQ says: https://www.basschat.co.uk/faq/ However I can't see how to do it either. @Dad3353 or any of the mods/more experienced sellers able to answer?
  6. Might be worth updating the title of the thread as well - the headline still shows as £895
  7. This has probably been answered elsewhere, but how do you care for and polish a bass finished with Tru-oil? It's not like a hard varnish, so do you just clean with a soft cloth? Use occasional guitar polish? Do you have to reapply the oil every few years?
  8. One twelve-year-old, absolutely fine with me and I'll probably learn some technique. One twelve- or eighteen-month-old, also fine and I'll teach them to say "Four strings good, five strings better" Twelve eighteen-month-old kids, maybe less keen on that.. 😅
  9. On any scale of workmanship, linear or log, Andy will be so far to the right you need another piece of paper.
  10. I won't be rehearsing any time soon as I'm needed for either sound desk or livestream duties. But I am hoping to have a bash with a mate on Friday evening. First time playing with someone else since Covid, so will be taking February's purchase.😀
  11. I've been following this with interest. Electronics was never my strong suit, though I still have my battered copy of Horowitz and Hill from Uni days.

    Hi-

Or anything in certain threads on here either 😉
  13. I've never heard of Mamoth WVH, but just checked the album out on Spotify, on my phone. Two things struck me: excellent album cover, the sort you would be excited to walk out of the shop with, hoping the music would be good too; 10s of the first track says there is no point in playing this on the phone so I'll have to get up and play it properly loud. Thanks for the heads-up. 👍🤘
  14. Based on the last bash, if you bring a +1 they will win top prize in the raffle 😁. I still have that transcript of Moondance, and I intend to put it back into the raffle. But this time autographed and dated, thus starting a tradition, so that 20 bashes later it will appear on the antiques road show. Or Crimewatch.
