..... !!!! Words fail me.

Not if you keep eating cake :-) Dave's hoping to come too, but don't let that put you off.

I agree with your comment earlier that it may be weather dependent. It's very clammy here at the moment. Thanks for organising this.👍

Arrived yesterday Seem a little sticky on the paper, but nothing a wash and talc won't resolve. 😉

Come on, you know you want to. There's cake too, remember...

Or one old-skool bass rig. Tie the gazebo to that and the pub will blow away before the band: (image from talkbass.com)

Those "pop up" gazebos are way better than the old style with poles and connectors. Mine's not properly waterproof, but it is now 14 years old. Cool number plate BTW 😎

Welcome aboard! So are you now badass, having completed the course?

Happy to have a DE Bass Bash. However being stopped at customs with multiple guitars and amps and the like may be interesting. A friend if mine was returning to his house in France, where he has residency, and the Douanne were being deliberately obstructive and asking the price of everything he had on him and whether he was importing it or taking it home. They even said they were being picky "because You voted for Brexit!" I would of course expect the Germans to be more civilised than the French, but nevertheless...

I admit it, running the fretboard all the way was a good choice. And curved against the oval pickup looks superb. 👍

Meant to add: playing through an audio interface and headphones is how I played for nearly a year. You hear every single finger squeek and buzz, and it gets a bit dispiriting, so you'll try really hard to get a good technique that eliminates them. Then you buy an amp and it sounds so much better, but the time spent with headphones was worth it 😉

Kid gets a bass at school as his "instrument to learn". Comes home on Monday and Dad says "What did you learn?". Kid replies "I learned about the E string". Comes home on Tuesday and Dad says "What did you learn?". Kid replies "I learned about the A string". Comes home on Wednesday and Dad says "What did you learn?". Kid replies "I learned about the D string". Comes home on Thursday, and Dad has been on Google and so asks "Did you learn about the G string today?" Kid replies "Nope, but I've got a gig tomorrow night"

That's very nice - like the subtle binding. 3mm is fine, much lower and as a beginner you make lots of clanks. Actually I still make lots of clanks after two years, but I don't care. I just play fewer notes and try to look cool 😎

As you say - a bench from the bench 🙂 Nice view too.

Hark at you with your fancy SDLC processes and asiatic bamboo implements! More importantly, what sort of cake? And are we having a raffle? And why is September SO FAR AWAY? 😩

Hi! A sheer, utter newbie takes his first baby steps...

Welcome aboard!! I had colleagues who played bass who supported and encouraged me (and took the fosters as well - which helps no end 🙂 ) That made me laugh out loud - and then had to explain to my wife what I'm laughing at on the internet 😄 Where about in Fife are you? I lived up in St Andrews for a couple of years - lovely place. If I recall correctly @Magoo1973 is up in Fife, as is @Dov65. Get the three of you together to make a racket and you could remind folks of when Leuchars was an RAF base. -
I think Ped answered that in the post immediately above yours 🙂 Looking forward to putting one set on the new bass, and posting another to a friend as a rather late Christmas present 🎅

Welcome aboard - Stay away from the marketplace! 😁

You haven't met any nutters yet? Welcome aboard!

Only if you wear a big badge saying " I IS TEEBS!" If you just put your real name on your badge then I will have no idea who you are.

You forgot about a Telecaster: large instrument collection. You forgot about a cupboard: large house.

Things we might bring: 1) Richard R: Brawley Artemis 4, Brawley Artemis 5, EBS Session60 amp, something to weigh basses with.

Oh VERY clever!! 👍👍
