[/quote]yep I've played it both ways and they both sound right, what's a semi tone between friends still sounds like he's playing EEE G A to me though, no return to G, but it does sound better that way, it always amazes me how you can play something wrong for years and it sounds alright, especially when someone else is playing it lol

yep E G# A G#, but what he's doing on the chorus is another story, the intro is tricky as well and wait till you get to the triplet bit.

[/quote]every time I have the misfortune to here Macca sing live these days I do wonder why he doesn't drop down a tone he's obviously struggling to hit the notes and there's no shame in it, lots of singers voices go deeper with age, either he just doesn't listen to people or surrounds himself with yes men

quite like his singing style to be honest, but he does seem to have anger/attitude issues, but getting back to the keyboard warrior point, it does seem to be a problem on here and on other social sites where people say things they never would to people face to face, regardless of whether they think they'd get a whack or not, I see things on facebook from people I know in 'real' life, and I do wonder if their accounts been hacked, it's like a completely different person

if you don't really like the songs you'll get bored quickly but might find it difficult to quit, letting band mates down and all that

My bands latest album is on CD and vinyl, sound wise can't really tell any difference, but I much prefer listening to it on vinyl, nostalgia has a part to play, when I first got it I spent 5 minutes just watching it go round on the turntable, but the better artwork and the fact it's a lot more effort to skip tracks meaning you actually listen to the whole album (or at least one side) is the reason I prefer vinyl. Lets face it artwork is so crappy on CD's you may as well just download it.

[/quote]this ^, most people can only manage 2 octaves, just moving a song a tone to suit a singer's voice won't make a big difference, nobody will know, but bands that try say a Led Zep song transposed to a baritones range just ruin it and shouldn't try,(can sound good with a female vocalist though) we did move Merry Christmas Everybody down half an octave and got away with it, and it was easier for the crowd to sing along as well, most men are baritones apparently, but yeah you need to pick songs that your singer can sing in more or less the original key if you want to get it anywhere the original version

I only saw the encore, Everlong, was it just me or were the vocals way down in the mix? on the subject of only a few good acts, that's because that's all there are, Glastonbury just way too big so they have to pad it out with not so good stuff, to put it politely. Quite honestly I would only go if they gave me a free ticket and let me take my caravan.

just watching it on catch up, I hate overly prominent kick drums, but that sounds ok, snares a bit deep though but nothing I find annoying, Chrissie Hynde must work really hard to look that good at her age

I've got one and they are incredible value for money but I prefer my Zoom B1on, a bit dearer but still only about £45 and it has loads more sims if you want them, I mostly just use it with Sansamp bass driver sim the point where distortion kicks in is a lot more controllable, I can have it set just below where it gets 'spikey' whereas the BDI21 seems to be all or nothing

must admit in my limited experience I've never come across a soundman who has insisted on a feed before the effects pedal
