I'm trying to load our album onto the digital aggregator platform Soundrop, at the end of the process I get this error, I've left it about 3 weeks and it's still happening. The Spotify artist link works ok when logging into the Spotify artists page, I've tried emailing Soundrop, but no reply. Anybody on here any experience of this problem?

the Beatles reform for live aid

they'd be getting slagged off for for carrying on way past their best like Macca and Clapton etc, and maybe rightly so, to quote Hendrix (allegedly) "once you're dead your made for life", how prophetic was that?

Compact budget PA set-up to put bass through (without back-line).
PaulWarning replied to Al Krow's topic in PA set up and use
feedback while being in front of a small PA is not such a problem in my experience, we use a Yamaha EMX512SC power mixer, our singer spends quite a lot of time running around the crowd with his radio mic without feedback problems -
thanks for your help, nearly there, just got to figure out how to add my email address, nothing happens when I click on 'add email address' at the bottom of the notifications page
-
thanks, but I can't find page settings on the band FB page, I'll try your messenger suggestion thanks
-
Since the last FB 'upgrade' I no longer receive notifications when someone leaves a message in band's inbox on our FB page, which means I have to remember to check regularly to make sure we're not missing out on offers of gigs etc, anyone got any ideas on how to get them working again? Google hasn't been much help

the song selection and the singers made all the difference, the reggae mash up, or whatever it was called wasn't good, why they persevered with it, given the drummers problems as well, I really don't know

yep, I think we can all see where this program is going, contrived TV at it's best/worst

I did have a Stingray, despite it being active I could never get the sound I wanted, I never touch the controls on my P bass, any adjustments are made via my Zoom B1on pedal or my amp, when I play through a full PA the Zoom gives me control over my EQ before the mixing desk

I notice you didn't post the one with a certain DJ introducing it 😄

I (with my other half) do open mics, the most popular song by quite a distance is Jilted John, never seem to hear it on the Radio these days 😄

banter is a tricky one, it's nasty if it's too near the truth and the people it's aimed at are lacking in self confidence, it's a thin dividing line between a bit of a pi55 take and bullying, getting a feel for when people are getting upset is important. Something that is difficult when written down in a post. I walked in the pub tonight where I'd done open mic on Friday, a couple of the blokes said "hope you've not bought your guitar again" but it was said in such a way that I took it as a compliment, they'd actually enjoyed my little set, if I'd been shite they wouldn't have said it, hopefully I read it right 😂

I've got a couple TE's non fan version, and I prefer them, they're quieter and lighter, (possibly because they're lower wattage), and like you say don't get full of sucked in gunk, never had any overheating issues with them

New...100% charisma free product available now!
PaulWarning replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
once saw her live, quite lively and she was really enjoying herself when the encored with the Ramones song "I Wanna Be Sedated" Roy Orbison is another performer who lacked any sort of charisma when playing live, made Bill Wyman look energetic -
another invaluable free tool is Audacity, slow the song right down and move it up an octave (or even 2) makes the the most buried in the mix bass line stand out. I also find the bass lessons on YouTube are more accurate than tabs
-
There's usually a reasonably accurate tab of what I want to learn, and some rubbish ones, but they do get me in the ball park, I'm rubbish at starting out learning a song by ear but once I've learnt the basic chord structure I can usually sort it out. There's also a piece of software that attempts to show the chords and the bass line called Digital Music Mentor (never found an alternative that shows the bass line), very old but still available, it's not fool proof by any means but it does get you on the right track

Wanting to identify my old Japanese bass
PaulWarning replied to BassManBubba's topic in General Discussion
it's a pi55 take, some people have a strange sense of humour -
What are your views on the vinyl s(pl)urge?
PaulWarning replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
The serious collector will probably prefer Vinyl, but as we discovered when we produced our last album in vinyl most people who come to our gigs, which is where we sell most of our albums, still prefer CD's, it's a lot easier to carry home for a start, and a lot easier to put on your mp3 player/phone, which seems to be where the most listening is done, certainly in my case -
Hate it when I can't hear the bass very well in the mix, live or on record, one of the reasons I took up bass was because of the early Status Quo albums (up to but not including Rocking All Over the World) where the bass is clearly audible. Somebody mentioned Never mind the Bollocks, a brilliant album, but I for one think it would be even better with the bass was a bit higher in the mix, mind you it can be hard to hear the bass when it just follows the root, Another punk album SLF first album is unlistenable, despite some great songs on it because it's so tinny IMO ymmv Another thought, whenever there's a remaster of an album, thinking Beatles and the Clash here, the bass is more prominent in the mix

so if the rest of the story is true, the owner of the store ordered him a special left handed one from the factory, I wonder if that was still £30?

I once bought an Epiphone SG that had horrendous neck dive, soon got rid. One good thing about neck dive is that it stops that really annoying habit some bass players have (well it annoys me) of letting go off the neck when they're playing an open string, with a smug look on their face
