  1. I understand our much maligned Government has managed to secure 15 million doses, which should be enough for the most vulnerable, the rest can be just left to catch it like normal flu, which will mean, hopefully, life returns to normal
  2. Mick Jagger's still got it, I'd like to hear Rod trying some of his early stuff before passing judgement, but it's true that some singer's voices go, Macca springs to mind, and others seem just the same as always. Went to see a 60's show a few years ago and they wheeled Chris Farlowe out, he looked awful, overweight and with this massive Hawaiian shirt on, we feared the worse, but when he started singing Out of Time he sounded just the same, a jaw dropping moment, after he'd done the compare said he'd be back when he's had some oxygen, I think he was only half joking
  3. I think his voice has gone, last couple of times I've heard him live he's sounded ropy, generally sticks to crooning these days
  4. probably, Sudoku's for me, I'm hopeless at crosswords
  5. we've got 3 left in December, it all depends on what rules are bought in after the lockdown
  6. no it wasn't, it was one of the on board entertainment singers, they were doing a show of 70's music, fortunately they only did one punk song 😄
  7. Almost all the punk vocalist had a 'distinctive' style, but it wouldn't have worked if any of the punk bands had a proper singer, if you've ever heard Pretty Vacant sung 'properly' as I have on a cruise ship, you'll know what I'm talking about
  8. nobody mentioned Paul Weller? best description I read about him was that he sounded like Punch Drunk Boxer 😂
  9. him out of the Artic Monkeys, When I'm singing I try really hard not to slip into a mid Atlantic accent, hate myself when I do
  10. sky arts is now available on Freeview, I recorded it, not watched it yet, it'll probably be repeated
  11. I use mine at home and at practice, I never have to pair them them before use, I do before a gig to make sure nothing else is using the existing channel that the unit is using
  12. the problem with cash on collection is, unless you are careful the buyer can't complete the purchase without paying for it via paypal
  13. I use windows movie maker, not officially still available but it can be found with a bit of searching, I use the 2012 version
  14. not doubting you for a second but I've had a pair HD 280 pro's for 12 years or more, still on it's original cable, mind you the adjustable head band is held together with gaffer tape
  15. doesn't seem like he's trying to scam anyone, full description and you can go and view it
  16. I have enough trouble listening to a single album all the way through, I invariable listen to one side then put something else on, this from a man who has his mp3 player on shuffle
  17. happy enough with my Trace Elliot series 6 GP12 200 watt, and it only weighs 13Kg
  18. can't think of any tbh, but I'll await some suggestions
  19. nobody, it's just the old dodge, taken to the extreme, of inflating the price to make it look like a bargain, £40 for these strings is a bit high but not excessive
  20. interesting, I'm guessing I have the muscle spasm type because it comes and goes, at the moment it's there for about 10 seconds then goes away for about 10 seconds, it does vary, I didn't get it at all for about 6 months, then it came back when we stopped playing because of the lock down 😠
  21. I'm the same, started off thinking of digitising my LP's but soon realised it was a very time consuming task, recording in real time then manually naming all the tracks, the vast majority of my LP's are on spotify, with my knackered hearing that's good enough for me.
  22. I remember the story about putting your CD's in the freezer to improve the sound, I was silly enough to try it, basically if people are looking for an improvement in the sound they'll hear one.
  23. Nottingham 😁 but I must admit I don't venture into the city centre very often, I perhaps could see the logic in shutting down City Centre pubs, but not the local boozers in the suburbs
  24. not sure I see the connection between education and pubs
  25. I know it's the mailonline https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8784629/Boris-Johnson-faces-furious-Tory-mutiny-sneaking-Orwellian-Covid-lockdown-laws.html you have to scroll down to find the pie charts
