  1. I may be talking out of my backside here but the actual electronics are probably the same in the B1 and G1 it's just the way the effects set up that's different, I base this on the fact I've uploaded the G1on effects onto the B1on, I think I could have got the same sounds with a bit of nob twiddling
  2. fair enough. Question 1, depends on the copper. Question 2 No
  3. Which closed back headphones have the biggest ear pads? I have behind the ear hearing aids and big ears
  4. talking of risk at the work place, I was chatting to someone who'd had Covid this morning, I asked how she caught it she said" At work the Royal Mail sorting office, a lot of temps at this time of year including students, all inside with no ventilation, loads have had it there"
  5. as I said earlier it all depends how risk averse everybody is, some don't want to take any risks, others, like me, think the odds of actually dying from Covid, if there's no underlying health issues, (if you catch it all all) are so low, it's worth it.
  6. we've had this discussion, my feeling was that it is work, we get paid, even if it only covers expenses, and if you can't work from home you can go into work, however we are in Tier 3 so there won't be any gigs anyway, obviously the whole band has to be in agreement, if any of you are risk averse it's not going to happen
  7. according to some reviews build quality is poor
  8. Just had a go at registering the ISRC codes with the PPL, what a ball ache, then I got to thinking we use a Digital Aggregator to collect our pitiful royalty earnings, so is there any point?
  9. judging by the latest tier rules, in which Boris seems to have a real downer on the hospitality industry, it'll be a while before pubs open properly
  10. yep, the bloke is an arrogant narcissist, which is why he makes a good frontman, the best ones usually are, like Morrissey
  11. I've seen the Glitter band a couple of times (both versions) and the GG songs have always gone down a storm, great songs you never hear anymore, but I suppose the crowd went along sort of expecting them
  12. Definitely not, Gary might have had a weakness for young girls but at least he wasn't boring
  13. so do you do any GG songs?
  14. we have used both the Dambusters and the the Sweeny opening in the past, can't be bothered now
  15. Zoom B1on with the Sansamp Bass Driver sim and the AC Bs pre to take out the stuff below 30Hz
  16. If I didn't listen to someone's music because I didn't agree with their politics they'd be very little left for me
  17. not sure if Andy Williams was the original. Wonder how long before Sid's My Way makes an appearance?
  18. is it just me that thinks amp modelers is just glorified pre set EQing with distortion thrown in (where appropriate)
  19. I'm sure they do, but it's the old, is a MIA Fender 5 or 6 times better then a Squire argument? would anybody be able to tell the difference in a gig situation, very doubtful. I'll keep an eye on the 2nd hand market
  20. I'll be following this see if you can induce enough GAS for me to upgrade my Zoom B1on, tried the B3 couldn't tell any difference in the effects I use, mostly distortion and EQ
  21. just tried that, p bass straight into inst 2, the clipping light doesn't come on even at full gain
  22. I found out the direct monitoring is working but at a very low volume, I have to have everything at max to get a reasonable volume, I think the trouble may be that I can't seem to get it to work with an ASIO driver
  23. up until now I've been using a cheapo Xenta usb sound card for recording onto my laptop, I decided to take a small step up and get a Behringer UM2. With the Xenta monitoring was no problem, no latency at all, (this is before I launch a DAW) the only way I can get monitoring to work with Behringer is to tick the 'listen to this device' box in sound-recording-properties box and with came latency even if the direct monitoring button is pressed.
  24. ok got it, have to click on write effects at the bottom, doh, no problems for me, I made sure I clicked on all the B1on effects as well as the extra ones I wanted and all my own patches were still there sounding as they should. Have to say, most the effects in the same category are basically the same, they're just got different settings, I downloaded some guitar amp sims and you can get them sounding the same as each other with a bit of tweaking, I suspect I could get the bass amp sims and distortion/overdrive effects sounding like the guitar ones if I did some tweaking, but hey, saves messing about
  25. 2 questions, will it delete all my existing effects and patches, and I've selected the effects I want, got the B1on into firmware update mode, what do I do next? I can't seem to get the window up that's shown in the video
