I was listening to 5 live last night and they were on about misunderstood songs, they were talking about politicians using songs without actually understanding the lyrics, Ronald Regan used Springsteen's born in the USA without realising it's an anti American song. Another one I know is Rocking in the Free World, it was used a lot when the Berlin Wall came down but it's actually an anti western culture song. Anybody got any more?

one man's overrated is anothe rmans underrated, it's just personnel taste, but I really really don't understand how so many people rate Radiohead and Coldplay

funnily enough (not funny ha ha) the local mainstay of live music in my town The Greyhound in Beeston, Notts has just announced its closing, blaming high business rates, but the truth is not enough people were turning up every weekend to watch the bands for whatever reason

I've got one, but gone over to a Trace Elliot head with Fender Rumble V2 cabs, class D amps seem a little to polite for my taste they are light but also big with only a top handle they are cumbersome to carry about, the EQ section is limited (a sweepable mid would be handy) and unlike some others I don't like the overdrive, to spikey for my taste, ok if you're trying to be Lemmy, but nice voicing and loud, so some would really like them, depends what you're after, not sure about build quality either some of them rattle when turned up, apparently

[/quote]they won't be selling them at a loss that's for sure Trace must be giving them a huge markup, a selling tatic is to start off with the price high then encourage heavy discounting, then people think they're getting a bargain

unscrupulous behavior granted, but is it any worse than buying something a much lower price than it's worth because the seller is a little old lady who doesn't know what she's got?

we played in a small club with it's own PA the sound guy came out with a comment I'd never really thought about before, "we'll mic up the kick, no need for the rest the vocal mics will pick up the drums anyway" edit, we had a really good sound as well
